There are options in the minors. Bob Miscue went on to talk about some of them. The real question is why are the Royals using old tired 4A players. Lets at least fail with some young guys with upside (Rosa, Wood). Why won’t anyone in the media ask Dayton Moore that question. I don’t blame him for Cruz he was great before he got to KC and was good til he got hurt. The other parts to the bullpen, save Soria, are a disaster.

Holy Geez Diuguid and Whitlock on the SAME op-ed page? JW has such a unique insight into the human condition and the problems in the “community” from his lofty joco perch. Can’t wait.

Seems like a pattern, jopo went rogue before he jumped ship. Maybe this is a chance for Jason to punch up his writing skills before leaving the nest. Gotta be a gig for him at Ebony or Jet.

If anybody deserves the “right” to boo someone it’s Royals fans. Hell, Royals fans should be allowed to bring fesces to the park to throw at players.

Some serious fellatio going on between 810 and the Chiefs. It’s embarassing. I’m sure they’ll keep it up. 810 needs for the Chiefs to be successful to pump up those declining ad/infomercial sales. All they need to do is get some Sham-Wow’s printed with the Chiefs logo and turn KK lose. Maybe a football helmet shaped Slap-Chop too.

Is 810’s slathering over the Chiefs the same as your ball licking of 610?

I also believe I will be taking over the food column on Wednesday and the restaurant reviews on Thursday. I mean…”Hey look at me!” “I know about eating.”

Aaron is out the door because I can watch TV just as well as him. Gone is the horoscopes and Dear Abby as I can make up s*it as well as anyone.

Really i think i should do the whole freakin paper because I’m the only reason anyone buys anyway.

It would be nice if someone on the Royals had the guts to drill Bradley between the numbers on his back during his first at bat. Of course, I still think they are serving milk and cookies in the locker room.

I knew we were dead last night when Fescoe came out to sing take me out to the ball game during the 7th inning stretch.

I go when Greinke pitches, leaves when they take him out. Bruce Chen must have naked pictures of Trey Hillman from Japan or something. Chen’s ERA over the last 5 seasons I think is over 5.50 and we still run him out there. He WALKED IN the winning run last night…just happened to be Bradley too.

Oh, and the Beave has to be the worst MLB play-by-play guy in the country.

what a disaster. I still think they can turn this
thing around nd be a good team but hillmans
got to get that bullpen fixed up quickly.
How could they lose that game. Win that game and
they hve 3 wins in a row…a major ccomplishment…and possibly getting them on track.
Whts this doing to zack? the guys gotta be
going nuts with this relief help.
As far as pussies…there’s none worse than
hillman. After the game saturday on the last
out at second he rn out there to argue the
obvious missed call and then just scampers
    back to his hole.
He should have read that umpire the riot act.
    Game over…they lost a lead…poor showing..
maybe he kicks dirt on the umpire and gets
thrown out of the next game on sunday.
    WE SHOULD BE SO LUCKY.
This guy hs no balls. He’s got no idea what he
is doing. He’s got some good plyers but he’s
finding ways to not use them right.
8 blown saves? this early in the year…
fire the pitcing coach…fire hillman and get
someone in there who knows what they’re doing..
bevcause we have some good players…they just
need a manager who knows how to use them
    ….
But I still hope things turn around.
As far as the beav the announcer…he’s a
scrawny little guy…my grandma could beat the
heck out of him with one are behind her back.
What do all you people think of split?

I love how Trey Hillman always has that I don’t believe this is happening look on his face. At least if he goes to hell when he dies it’ll be an upgrade from coaching the Royals.

Splittorf? I always thought he was kind of boring but now I cringe when he talks. Sorry, but if you can’t talk right you probably shouldn’t be a broadcaster.

Fescoe? Let’s call him FesCUE. Watching grass grow is more interesting than listening to him.

This is happening literally every time the bullpen goes out there. I was there last night and it’s easy to yell and boo but most of all I felt sorry for Tejada. This is a guy who really found it at the end of last year and has obviously lost it. His body language just screamed “defeated.” I say put him in the starting rotation and move Meche to the bullpen for long relief. Tejada might perform a whole lot better like he did at the end of the year last year if he doesn’t have the potential of another blow-job by the bullpen weighing on his shoulders. Or put Soria in in the 8th for an inning if that’s all he can throw. But do something Hillman! You can’t just keep running these guys out there when we all know the result every damn game.
What made the game real bad? This twenty-something emo kid in a retro nylon jacket and skinny jeans caught a shirt and a foul ball right in front of me!

    The Independent Rage
Back when I still cared a bit (pre-Betancourt trade), I used to turn the channel on Royals late-inning meltdowns before they came to full fruition since I was disgusted and didn’t want to watch yet another one. But now not only has indifference set in, but I refuse to turn the channel because I want to see the trainwreck and see the new way they invent for losing a game. It’s probably close to the same mentality that causes Interstate backups from cars slowing down to gawk at a car accident.

I honestly believe that we are having a hard time getting playing and management talent because a lot of people just don’t want to live here.

thats not the problem. HOw many people wnt to
    work at walmart?
When you know how bad the boss is and you know
there’s somewhere else to go for the same
money and less hassles you go there.
Most of the royals players are now on one
year contracts. They need one good year in
this hellhole and then they bolt.
Guillen won’t be here next year. He’s got
gotten his big bucks…he has a big year
then heads for big money to ca/ny/boston/
    phlly etc.
Pod/ankial and probably half the tem knows
this team is just a stopover in their career.
Geinke knows he’s got one more year here…
then gets traded in 2011 because the royals
know he wnts out so they trade hm for some
    other starters.
Butler…he’ll be gone too. So what are you
left with…the scraps that glass wants.
But mybe things can change and this team
    tgets some breakjs this year.
After 10 years of bad luck…they deserve some.

The K is “Kidified.” There is Christian country rock blaring, and every day feels like family day. I feel at any moment that a Silver Dollar City stage show could break out.

Jojo, what the fuck…BAD LUCK? How about BAD OWNER, BAD GM, blah-blah-blah. KC sports commission should push to take the Royals public, Give Glass his money. Let the fans own the team. George Brett in the corner office. Glass paid 96 million, Forbes values the team at 282 million. The Royals are the dingleberry on baseballs ass. Time for the turd to plink in the stool and make some BIG SHIT.

    Lets review…
Okay, so you quote Fescoe who say that the organization has no talent in the minors to call up. Although this is false (Kila and Mike Aviles are both there.) you say you’re “stunned at how frank, honest and negative.” they are.

Lets get this straight if nothing else Fescoe is just being dishonest or not actually doing any research. And two that has no reflection on the current organization since the way they’ve drafted is taking a lot of highschool talent. He’s taking a shot at Baird if nothing else for leaving the organization’s minor league system empty.

If they were truly honest and negative they’d be talking about how fucking terrible the organization has been run since Dayton took over. They’ve continued to go with the cheaper option in the draft when the more expensive one stared them right in the face. Lets also not forget about how the two most productive players on this team were Baird guys. The best thing Dayton has done since he’s been here is sign one of Baird’s guys to an extension. Not only could Allard of done that but I dare say that he could of won more than 65 games with a 70 million dollar payroll.
610 isn’t as hard hitting as you make them out to be Greg. Nick could really care less about baseball and if he did I can only imagine what his opinions would sound like. Fescoe has a bone to pick with the organization. Fescoe v Royals is very similar to Kevin v Carl’s Chiefs. Shan is just terrible and doesn’t know dick about the teams.
