In response to Kyle’s comment: I believe Shariff said the other day that “misundastood” was Selby’s old username, which he’s now changed to “Showtime” (or else he’s created a new account). Concerning English usage, I thought it was the Queen’s English, not the King’s? Don’t tell me I’ve had that wrong all these years?

b.s. I don’t think theres one mu student or
alumni that I’ve met or spoke with who
would not want to see MU go to the big 10.
A recent alumni function had 100% of the people
for moving. We had a rally of sorts at the
p and l before the basektball game nd everyone
was excited about leaving.
It was mentioned in a website and the vote
was 90%-10% for leaving the big 12.
We want to move on. We have surpassed the
ceiling of what we can do in the big 12.
Millions of dollars are waiting in the wings for
the move. A possible huge major business school
to make it the wharton of the west is strting
…3 of the top programs are ready for major
capital improvements and there could be a major
announcement coming soon about a 300 million
dollar endowment fund (larger than that at
0su) is in the starting stage.
Who have you been talking to? Tell us where
you got this b.s. It’s time for MU to mke the
move into the higher echelon of collelges…
and esentially make an extra 30-40 milliondollars a year.
Pinkel might lose some texas recruits but when
the rest of the big 12 falls apart nd ksu/
ku and nebraska are left there will be many
fertile areas to recruit fvrom.
And if you really follow mu recruiting they
are about 7 or 8 on the recruiting pole in
texas. Weatherspoon and other recruits coming to
mu were not highly recruited…maybe 2 star
recruits at best….pinkel when he gets
estblished will have no trouble get talent to
come to MU.
If mu does move great. We’ve seen enough.
For mu alumni and adminstrtion winning sports is
not the only thing considered.
Its about time we packed our bags and left
inferior/lower academic schools like ku and
ksu nd mde our mark in a bigger way.
If it doesnt happen I still will enjoy kicking
KU’s ass this fall in football and their
basektball team losing in the sweet sixteen.
OUr bags are packed…we’re ready to bolt…
hopefully we can move on to bigger and better
situations for our university/students and
our coffers.

Jojo you’re delusional. Mizzou isn’t making some step up because they’ve outgrown the Big 12! The only reason they’re being considered is they’d be the one school that could bring in K.C. and St. Louis dollars. That’s it. You might care about academics but all they care about is MU’s academics aren’t bad enough to disqualify them. But watch, MU will blow it in the end and won’t be able to seal the deal…just like your football team!

Craig Glazer has a better chance of getting into the Promise Keepers than KU does getting into the Big 10. KU would not be successful in the Big 10 athletically or academically.
Jack Harry will get used to change. At his age he’s ready to be a diaper dandy all over again.
MU in the Big 10 gets me harder than Chinese Calculus. It’ll be great for MU and the local sports scene.
KU can sign all the baby ballers they want. They still won’t make it to the Sweet 16 next year. Bill Self is playing hari kari with all the one and done prospects.

smartman you’re an idiot. KU basketball would be the class of the Big 10…it would probably give them a bump if anything. Here’s why: They recruit from everywhere! Mizzou is going to be hurt with Texas recruits in football if they go but as far as KU BB, it would only put them on TV more. And KU football can’t compete with Northwestern, Indiana or Minnesota? The Big 10 does an incredible job of promoting itself every year and they actually make everyone believe they’re a powerhouse. They’re not! They are the same damn thing as the Big 12 in football…maybe less. We’re Texas, Oklahoma and 10 others. They’re Ohio State and…uh…well Penn State maybe? Big 10 has great fans and great stadiums, a great TV deal but it’s not GREAT football. Look at…Wisconsin, for example. They seem to be high in the rankings every year and then they lose one, then two and so on. You know why? They stink! Rivals has them ranked #87 in recruiting for ’10. Big 10 schools aren’t getting the talent they used to because no one wants to go play in November in Happy Valley or OUTSIDE now in Minnesota!
And the whole academics thing…no one cares. You think that’s the card Mizzou is going to play to get into the Big 10? Not happening. Big 10 will have minimum standards that any team must meet to get in and the rest will have to do with what they bring to the table in football, basketball and markets.
THE ONLY REAL ADVANTAGE MISSOURI HAS OVER KANSAS IS THEIR PROXIMITY TO ST. LOUIS. That’s it. Don’t be such a moron KU hater.

KU in the Big 10 makes as much sense as Sarah Palin in the White House. People that think either of those are a distinct possibility should submit themselves for immediate death panel review or audition for the new reality show on Fox; Too Dumb To Live.
The chickens are coming home to roost on KU athletics. Seems they been “ridin’ dirty” at the Williams Fund. Football will be laughable this year. MU hopefully moves to big 10 but if not its
okay…we’re goning to be a top 10/top15
football team…we’re going to bury ku..
our basektball team should be real good
and the school is making huge advances in
the academic arena. And the schools brining in
cash quicker than they can spend it.
so everythings fine for mu fans…we’re used
to the roller coaster rides….hopefully this
next year will be all uphill.
And yes…bill self is going to ruin his
program with these one anddone basektball players.
How neat was it to see pierce/aldrich/collins/
heinrick/ and all the restof the ku nba players
get better each year in colllege. It ws so
much fun to see how they improved…and became
stars are they went thru college. Bringing in
these one and done guys might be okay short
term but ku has so much other talent that
they can still field a sweet sixteen team next
year….because thats about how far they’re
going in 2011.

MU might be Top 10, only because the schedule is baby poop soft. MU is the cowardly lion of Big XII…they’ll do some work on the North and beat up on non-con lightweights. Name me one game MU won they weren’t the favorite? When they play the good south schools, UT, OU, Tech and Okie Lite, they get KILLED.
Look it up, Okie Lite went in to MU’s place and slapped Chase Daniel around when he was supposed to be making his Heisman run. Texas beat them by 30 plus last year on homecoming, OU slipped by them by 40 and then 20 in the Big XII game…

I think they’re doing fine and much better than State and Misery.
