    pathetic. pathetic. pathetic.
Moore and hillman must go. I said it
    last july/june of 2009.
Why did david glass put us thru this misery.
reports are that glass and moore are at
serious odds. Someone ask glass what he thinks
of moore and his “plan”…i think you’ll find
that these guys hate each other and the
    clock is ticking on moore.
    Pathetic..pathetic…pathetic…
wheres pods wife when we need her. I’ll give
$10 to the first fan who posts her pic from
royals stadium…if she’s not too embarassed
to show to watch this pathetic team.

GH, do you think Lefebvre is that vanilla by choice or do you think he’s instructed to be sterile? What we need in the booth is a guy like Rick Sutcliffe, throwing back a few pops, getting more and more edgy and pissed as the game goes on until finally he just lets an F-bomb fly and starts chastising all the players and the manager. Somebody on the RSTN broadcasting team has to be disgusted by this. You know they’re all dreading another season following this fistful of scrumbums around as the kick, drop and bobble balls across the diamond. I can’t decide if Frank and Ryan deserve a medal for keeping their cool or if they need to be checked for a pulse for not losing it.

ps – Dave Owen is a nightmare at 3rd. He absolutely kills us. Either he holds guys up when he should send them or he sends guys when he should hold them up. A total blunder of a 3rd base coach. We should have Frank coaching at 3rd, waiting to take over for Hillman when he implodes.

    ___

GH: The Royals probably prefer Ryan to be neutral when it comes to criticism of the Royals but I do think he has the option to be more opinionated about the team

Fire Moore and then what? Who the hell would want this job? Even though Moore has been wrong on a ton of decisions at least he locked up Greinke and Soria for pretty cheap. Though you ain’t getting to Soria with that bullpen. Hillman is so gone by the all-star break it’s not even funny. He should just pull a Pena and disappear. The only thing that could turn this thing around would be if some KC billionaire appeared and bought the Royals. Baseball is bullshit. It may sound like sour grapes when the Royals fans bitch about payroll but come on. How the hell is this team ever going to contend? The Rays are the shining example now but in a few years all their players will be Yankees and Red Sox. Baseball is seriously flawed and in twenty years I bet it won’t be making money if they don’t make a major change to get everyone on a level playing field. They’re counting their money now but when the Yanks and Sox are eventually fielding 300-400 million teams and we’re still operating in the 80’s people will give up. There’s no point in caring anymore. Hillman can’t change it, Moore can’t and Glass won’t. Move em to Vegas.

Agreed. Nobody else is going to be better than Moore. And as long as that’s true, nobody will be better than Hillman, cause we just plain suck. It starts at the top. Bad ownership breeds bad teams. I think Glass cares, but isn’t smart enough to own a team. Or just too cheap. sigh. I miss the Royals I grew up with.

Someone forgot to tell the Royals that the team actually DID NOT move to the NL Central.

Agree 100% on Lefebvre GH. NEVER says a critical word and is good for 4-5 jokes that nobody outside the Royals TV crew laughs at. I’d have more respect for him if he’d question a front office or in-game tactical move.

I love what the team is TRYING to do at the K, but lines for food and the can are as long as they were pre-renovation and the product on the field is the same as it’s been since the Glass’ bought the team. 3-4 good players, the rest has beens or never will bees…..

In NY the headline today would have been Zack Hack? Was funny to see Johnny Damon in a Tigers uniform. Karma is a bitch.

reports from arizona are that moore ande
glass are at odds on almost every issue.
The constantly argue according to those
who were in surprise this year.
Look for moore to exit…and maybe soon.

The screw-ups on the field were equally matched off the field – concessions and restroom lines were horrible…and what was with the delayed fly-over??? Good thing that sax guy from last year didn’t play the anthem again this year….

these clowns couldnt run a lemonade stand right.
They know how to make money though and as long
as the fans and customers are wiling to put up
    with this crappy team…pathetic food…the
dumbest mf gm….the worst manager…the group
of players on their last legs of their careers
then they won’t cahnge. boycott that stadium
for a week and see what happens upstairs.
Be interesting to see what happens if they get
off to a bad start….heads will roll quickly
because glass hates hillman and moore.
Not a single baseball mind in the whole place..
    except on the tigers .
Poor greinke…they guy will be so jacked up
if things don’t improve that he’s back to his
old ways…hopefully things get better for him
    and the team.
    Great promotional idea…bobblehead of pods
wife…heard she’s as dumbas a box of rocks
but looks good…will be indicative of what
kind of brains this piece of a$$ has!

Out of boredom I tuned into KK yesterday. He did a good job of pounding some Glass ass after a caller asked him what the differences were between David Glass and Ewing Kauffman.

Until we get an owner who is more passionate about winning then making money we are fucked.
Remember, there was a time when the Royals had one of, if not the highest payrolls in baseball.

It all starts at the top. This team is an absolute reflection of David Glass.

Time for fans to don shopping-bag heads at the K. Isn’t it shameful? Don’t you feel like an idiot giving these dopes your money for that sub-mediocre product?

All I can say is…you have to be pretty good to wear those powder colored uni’s.
popular sentiment last year was Royals are real…
    This year it’s Royals Suck.
    Watch for upside surprise.

That hoops game was tremendous. I have to give credit to coach K…4 titles..they know how to attack. Butler was the ultimate 2nd tier opponent. I kept thinking if they showed that 1/2 courter enough times that it might just fall.

Tiger is an unbelievable story..he got more coverage than Obama yesterday. Move to Hollywood where your just a regular guy already.
I agree Masters will be some charged up TV. I hope he shits the shower…just cause I’m jacked up that way.

    @Dexter Morgan

I doubt if its the Royals FO that is sending down the word to their announcers to be bland, although I think that is the sensibility of an organization that has had pulse-challenged Denny Matthews as a Voice throughout its history. I think that by nature LeFebvre is an uncritical sort. Frank White can be a little more edgy, though he’s also pretty low-key.

That has come to be identified as the “Kansas City Style.” Harry Caray, it ain’t.

You’re also right, DM, about 3B coach Dave Owen. Maybe he simply can’t judge the ball — his below-average range as a MLB utility infielder may partially explain it — or doesn’t know the speed of the Royals on the base paths, which would be an inexcusable lapse of professionalism, but he makes too many blunders.

Lefebvre is a joke. At the beginning of the broadcast, he actually called the White Rat “Whitey Hergog.” What a doofus. Heck, I wasn’t even in preschool when the guy managed here and even I know how to pronounce his last name.

And I love Paul Splittorff, but they can’t keep forcing him on us with his voice sounding like Steven Hawking.

And who’s responsible for the god-awful poweder blue caps? Yikes.
Also, love Split. However he sounds like the girl with cerebal palsy who they brought on the show, Facts of Life. Not that I ever watched Facts of Life.

Arte, good call. Geri from the facts of life! We all watched the show. As long as you were strokin’ it to Blair or Jo and not Natalie or Tutti it’s OK.

I wish we could pay Splitt to say, “Blair, you’re hair’s much prettier than mine.”
