Hearne: KC Strip to Launch This Weekend Free of Charge, Bugs

That’s right, starting at 7 p.m. and shuttling on until 3 a.m. the KC Strip party trolleys will ferry for free

All weekend long – as in both Friday and Saturday nights.

Courtesy of the Neighborhood Tourist and Development Fund, says organizer Bill George.

“And if you have a wristband on, no line waits and no cover charges at any of the Power & Light District owned clubs. Like Mosaic, Angels Rock Bar, PBR and McFadden’s,” George says.

How do they get away with the confession cams? What’s the intended use for the confessions?

Since most people confessing will be blotto, and not of sound mind, any commercial use of the confessions without a signed release, from someone who is capable of understanding what they’re signing, raises some big legal flags.

Where do you get the wristbands?? No lines and no cover even if I don’t use the trolley I’ll get a wristband. Do you have to go to Westport for the wristband???

great idea….but the cops in kcmo will hate
it…it will cost them millions in dui lost
    revenue…but i guaratnee that they’ll be
setting up roadblocks at the start adn stopping
points of the trolleys. So be careful driving
after riding the trolleys…the cities need
money and I[m sure they’ll find a way to]
    screw this great idea up.

Way to go guys…superb marketing idea and
it will make the whole spring and summer
    even more fun……..thanks again.

Hmmm, they’re going to transport people who might be over the legal limit from one party area to another so they can drink even more, take them back to where they picked them up so they can drive home. I hope the 2 Bill’s lawyered up and protected themselves when they set this deal up. If I’m a plaintiff’s lawyer and my client was killed or injured by someone who spent a night partying, using the trolley, whose intent appears to be to take you all over town to drink, as their means of conveyance, I’m gonna be trying to make the Bill’s pay the bill.

Trolleys have never worked and this one won’t either. The pinching and the puking and the chaos won’t fly with most of the party crowd. And the 18th and Vine pass through will kill the North route. Westport sucks and this won’t save it.

I went to the website and there is good specials—food too. I don’t even need to get on the trolley. I will save enough just with the wristband

$35 for a monthly pass…. If this gets me No Cover and No Wait at P&L, plus transportation that gets me close enough to home for a cheap cab ride home, I am in.
