Nick Wright, despite his whining, adenoidal, grating wannabe gangter voice is a huge improvement over the frat boys with all their thinly-veiled dick jokes and juvenile fascination with boobies. But that’s a little like saying Brezhnev was a huge improvement over Kruschev. It’s true, but there are still much better but deeply flawed alternatives. And Kietzman, one of those deeply flawed alternatives, is still gonna kick his ass.

Looks like it’s time to invest in getting another Sirus radio for my office! I’ll be surpirsed if Master Splinter, I mean Nick Wright makes it to next opening day. The Entercom brass love Nick Wright because they only have to pay him peanuts and does whatever he is told beacuse he know he is lucky to have a job. So long KC sports talk airwaves!

I have met Chris and he’s a very cool guy…Sorry to hear he’s leaving. As for Nick Wright, I listen to him every morning too. I think he’s great and I hope he does very well!!!

Look, if you are not listening to sports talk radio in one of the nation’s top ten markets, then you are listening to crap. Just take a listen to WFAN out of NY through Yahoo sports. That’s good sports talk radio, regardless of who you root for.
Now, knowing this, the media conglomerates are going to put sub-par personalities on the air because they can pay them peanuts and people will STILL listen. You are better off going to your local watering hole by the stadium/arena of your choice in the KC area, having a few cold ones and talking to the bartender about sports.

610 gets pounded partially because the top brass
doesnt allow a jockey to be on long enough for the audience to grow and bond with. Its crazy,almost every 9 months its someone new.
If youre a casual listener trying to find a show to listen to your always going to graviate towards something familiar.
The execs at 610 dont allow that, they think that somehow they have to find some spectacular genius host who will turn the ratings around in one day..

What are you talking about DonkeyPunch? Chris sounds like he’s from here to me. I will miss Chris , but i think the show wasn’t nearly as good after Cowboy left. As for Nick Wright vs. 810, at least Nick Wright is entertaining. Don’t get me wrong, Soren knows his stuff and is a good radio personality, but his voice lulls me to sleep. Same with KK and the border patrol guys. It’s like watching amateur golf while being hungover.
