Nobody wants to hear about women’s hoops, yet Greg’s wordiest comment was about (you guessed it) women’s hoops!

Life is about the journey not the destination.

If going further in the tourney next year means better KU might be better. Don’t see them winning the BIG XII outright or the tourney.

David Glass does not have it in his DNA to pay up for a winner. Royals lose 90 games this year.

Before you can mention KSU or KU as contenders in the Big 12 basketball race next year you need to ask who will be running the point for them?

As the guy that has been involved with more beautiful and famous women then Glazer including Carling Bassett, and Molly Van Nostrand. I give a salute to my ex, basketball coach and NCAA tournament legend Brittney Ezell. Though she is starting to put on the lbs. She is still adorable.

And me and Hall vehemently disagree on women sports. That’s where some of the best action is.

Not much on women’s basketball, but I did run into the girl’s team from Drake at Casey’s in Osceola, Ia once. Damn pretty girls, 6 foot 7, but still pretty. Big plus having boobs at eye level.

Not that anyone really cares–but my high school football team played and beat Pius X.

    ___

GH: I care, Arte. The Bolts are perennially good in everything so a win over Lincoln Pius is usually well earned.

K State and Purdue in the championship game? Man that kid really is retarded.

I wouldn’t bet against the Jayhawks winning the league next year.

The Morris twins, Taylor, Reed & Morningstar will all be Juniors & Seniors, and would make a pretty decent starting 5. Thomas Robinson, Elijah Johnson, Travis Relaford, Jeff Withey & Mario Little…all high-caliber athletes…will get a chance to earn starting time.

That’s not mentioning what most anticipate to be an Xavier-type high school prospect to fill Sherron’s scholarship.

On a side note: K-State truly has a GREAT team this year. I think Clemente’s speed is a BIG reason why. Cat fans seem to be underestimating how important he is to that team’s success.

KSU is not a GREAT in capital letters team. They were beaten three times by the huge disappointment Jayhwaks, right? They’re good and they have a good chance whenever they’re on the floor, but come on, you can’t call them great when they lost to KU 3 times! They have no inside presence whatsoever. I keep hearing that guards are the key to success in March, but they don’t mean that as guards take every shot. I don’t know when it will happen but P or C or both will have an off night and KSU will get beaten pretty easily. They kind of remind me of KU last year when it relied so heavily on SC.

I also saw that the Jets got Hard Knocks next year on HBO. Love that show. I always wonder how the hell the Chiefs ever made it on there? I guess because of Herm? No matter who our coach is in the future at least we’ll never have Herm again. What a craphole of a coach. Took over Parcells’s Jets, ruined them. Took over an admittedly lesser KC team, did the same thing even quicker. I just want to punch him when he does analysis on ESPN! Especially when he talks about the Chiefs’ shortcomings. Your fault motherf***er!

    ___

GH: Great news about the Jets on HBO’s Hard Knocks this summer. Rex Ryan is a character. Can’t wait to see him behind the scenes.

Greg haven’t you ever heard of addition by subtraction. KU has the POTENTIAL to be better in a number of areas. One, Bill Self won’t be afraid to bench under preforming players like he apparently was with Sherron. Two, the team won’t be dependent on Sherron to carry the team in times of stress. Three, their will be less “star” power which hopefully makes the team play like a team. Four, the bar is set pretty low-get past the second round. So YES next years team can be better then this year’s team.

    ___

GH: Possible but not likely. I think KU will be very good next year but they were great this season — I’m talking once-a-decade-or-two great. It will be difficult to attain that level of greatness even with the studs they return.

greg is married. He knows nothing about action.

    GH: I got an email from a good friend the other day and he wrote that he was embarrassed to confess that he was now taking ballroom dancing lessons with his wife. I wrote back and told him I bet it was fun, good quality time, blah, blah, blah. He writes back the following;

“My only motivation in this is getting laid by a 50-year-old woman who has no interest in getting laid.”

Uncle Dick, what were you driving when you ran into the girls from Drake? Tall chicks are HOT when they are young. Nothing better than a pair of shapely 40″ legs in garters and stockings. By the time they hit 30 though they’re a cross between Eleanor Roosevelt and Julia Childs.

Are you guys REALLY buying into the retarded kids story? Did you actually READ it?…

CBSSports.com can not confirm Alex’s entry — the company doesn’t track entries to their Bracket Manager program. Unlike CBSSports’ Bracket Challenge, which ranks players nationally and locks entries once the tournament begins, Bracket Challenge does allow changes after play starts.

The Hermanns insist, however, that they filled out their brackets as a family before the tournament started, and haven’t touched the picks since. When asked whether the bracket was altered after the tourney began, Alex’s mother said, simply, “no.”

    They cheat worse than KU.

I highly doubt Aldrich leaves…He wants to earn that degree…He’ll be back for his senior season.

And no way Xavier Henry leaves—yet…He’ll stick around for one more year, then go.

  32. Anonymous says:

    Stevo
He can earn his degree in the NBA offseason. I think Aldrich probably wants to come back, but you can’t do that and leave money on the table two years in a row. Too risky. Self probably wants to say what he really thinks about X…that another year could do him wonders. But I bet you Carl Henry had assurances when they Henrys signed that BS would give X a glowing recommendation for the NBA whether it was true or not.

Bill Self has proven he knows how to motivate kids to stay in school. I do not know his secret but he has had many kids stay in school. This is one of the many things which makes him a priceless coach.

Interesting, if that kid does not take that( bad strategy ) 3 pt shot, this probably does not happen.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) — After leading Northern Iowa to the biggest win in school history, coach Ben Jacobson is sticking with the Panthers.

Northern Iowa and Jacobson have agreed to a new 10-year deal that includes a substantial pay raise, athletic director Troy Dannen announced Wednesday.

The agreement will increase Jacobson’s annual salary to $450,000 starting next season, with annual raises of $25,000 throughout the length of a deal that runs through 2020.

    Stevo
While I’m sure Jacobsen is happy with the pay raise, the gesture seems like one that’s more symbolic than anything. Kudos to UNI for rewarding their coach for the school’s biggest victory. If a big program comes along they’ll have no problem buying out whatever the clause calls for and I’m sure BJ’s lawyers made sure it wasn’t too outrageous. He gets to stay there for a year or two more until he thinks he’s ready. Hopefully he holds out for a better job than Mcdermott(sp?) did after leaving UNI for Iowa State. Think about the feather that is in this guy’s hat after beating Kansas. It’s going to be worth millions in name recognition alone.

Must be nice to get an unexpected almost $200,000 pay raise. They are saying it is all coming from private funds, so good for them.

In all seriousness, I wish the rest of the employees in this country the same luck.

Greg you just can’t say they were a once in a decade maybe two decade great team when they lost in the second round. Results are the bottom line. And they sadly underachieved.

    Stevo just messing with you.

So greg when does the ballroom dancing lessons start?

Amidst all this, the point to focus is the SEO company one might open doors for as their solution provider. It may be a cake walk to hire one in no time, but, definitely not when you must make sure the genuineness of the company which is a must.
