I’m sure Sherron is used to hugging chunky, white sisters all over KU.

I don’t think Michigan State has anything to do with KSU’s path to the second weekend. Don’t overlook BYU, though…Ken Pomeroy’s predictor at KenPom.com would have that matchup as basically 50/50.

    ___

GH: My mistake. I got bracket-cornfused.

It will not be easy for the Hawks to deliver what every KU fan expects….

KU should make it to the Final Four. Anything less will and should be viewed as a very large disappointment.

With all due respect, You are NOT worthy make comments like these. You are not, and never have been, a KU fan.
YOU DID NOT EVEN MENTION MY JAYHAWKS WINNING THEIR 2000TH GAME!! and lest recall your “aint played nobody” BS….

I am no homer, if my team sucks I say it… e.g. The Chiefs suck… but anybody with a brain who watched these kids in November could see “IT” .. you could not … so dont start talking now.

You should just sit back and watch and keep you mouth shut and your fingers still aka STFU.

DO NOT tell us REAL fans what we think, you are unworthy to say it.

Anything can happen …. Who knows what will happen, but as I said back in November MY MIGHTY KANSAS JAYHAWK MENS BASKETBALL TEAM looks pretty good, and they will do well ….. and they did …

    THEY ALREADY HAVE !!!!!
    BOOM MTHRFKRS!!!

We are the number 1 seed, but at this point anything can happen ….. but NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS …. I LOVE MY JAYHAWKS …. AND THE 2009-2010 SEASON IS ALREADY A SUCCESS … NO MATTER WHAT. period.

    PS
with that said, I do not see a team is sight that holds a candle to my beloved Jayhawks. We have already soundly beat KSU 3 times and we can beat any other team on any day … but ….. anything can happen …courts ..refs … weather …blah blah blah …IT IS MADNESSS … MARCH MADNESSS… AND MY JAYHAWKS REIGN SURPREME…. AS USUAL ….
    20 YEARS IN A ROW!!! …..

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPEN WE ARE ALREADY WINNERS !!!

    ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!!!!!

I see alot of the ESPN experts picking KU to beat KSU in the Final 4 semi’s. As a KU fan I’ll take that pick. And if that happens and both teams make the the final 4 how insane will this town and sports radio go.

to put up $1000 I will pull for the jayhawks/

Not to mention how Harry was EXTREMELY tight with Cotton Fitzsimmons. This is the most hypocritical of all of Harry’s inane rants.

Danny already mentioned this, Greg, but what does Michigan State being currently down have to do with K-State’s path to the Final Four? MSU is in KU’s region but that will only matter if MSU gets by Maryland and that’s hardly a given.

Anyone else get the feeling the talking heads at ESPN don’t care for Gotlieb. He consistantly will disagree with the grandstanding of fluff for the reality of what is the reality of college basketball. For my money he knows college Bball better then any of them. Bilas is solid, but Digger, Dick and Coach Knight are just cashing paychecks. They have no idea what to talk about with UNC, Arizona and UCONN playing in the NIT.

Greg have you watched Texas play at all in the last two months? Picking them over Kentucky? I’d love to gamble with you on that pick

    ___

GH: I am aware that it’s a huge stretch to think Texas can put things together in time to knock off a two-loss Kentucky team. But I just have a feeling KY is going out early this year…and TX has the talent to be the bullet that slays them.

    Laughing at the internuts comments.
People without a clue typing whatever BS they want to. People who do not understand, or even watch NCAA basketball, just blabbing away.

One can explain it in detail and it make no difference, the trolls still come out to type drivel, because they can.

No matter what happens, this has been a spectacular year, if you watched, and if you watched then you know it does not require making a bet to make it fun. KU is not a school for degenerate gamblers, we win, that is pay off enough. If you have never backed a winner, I guess you can not understand, that is sad.

The best team does not always win this tourney. There is no other championship like it. This is not a popularity contest like the NCAA football BCS.

    This is:
“have an off day – DONE”

“run into a lucky 3 point shooter, while the lids are on your baskets – DONE”

    “blah blah blah – DONE”

    “Lose one game – DONE”

That is why it is so much fun,
It is crazy, it is madness.

That is why only fools, and internut trolls, judge a team’s entire season on if they win this tourney. They will ignore the fact KU won the toughest league – 6 years in a row.

I believe my MIGHTY KANSAS JAYHAWK MENS BASKETBALL TEAM” will do very well,I belive we will be NCAA CHAMPIONS this year, again. I know they have what it takes to win the whole thing, but if there is off bad game( vs another teams VERY on game ) and they do not …. sure it will no fun, sure it will suck, but that is life … BUT STILL …. NO MATTER WHAT, THIS TEAM IS A GREAT TEAM.

There will be no LARGE dissappointments. I guarnantee IF any theam beats my team, that team will deserve it, because my team plays for keeps, because that is the ONLY way to win the NCAA BASKETBALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!! as my Jayhawks have done 3 times so far, and we have another 10-15 coming.

KU is locked and loaded for years to come. The best kids want to play for my school. My coach does the things to make sure the best kids want to STAY in my school, playing for my school.

KU WILL BE THE BEST BASKETBALL SCHOOL FOR YEARS TO COME, AS WE HAVE BEEN THE BEST FOREVER, that is how we win all those BIG 12 championships.

    WE ARE THE BEST!!
    WE HAVE THE PHOG!!!

    LETS DANCE!!!
I am loving this!!!so much fun!!

Jack Harry isn’t the only one raising eyebrows over Holly’s hug. I didn’t see, but it sounds pretty wierd to me.

Glad to know that since Karen Kornacki does it, it’s OK for all to do. (sheesh)

If you think Texas is going to beat UK after their fraudulent season, you haven’t been paying attention one bit to what’s been going on in your own conference, or you don’t know what the **** it is you are talking about when it comes to Kentucky.

    Take your pick.

Good thing Holly makes a decent living at ESPN. I don’t think Sherron can afford to support another baby. That KU alumni gravy train is going to dry up once he’s gone and the NBA Developmental League doesn’t pay squat.

When was the last time Jack did a negative story on Norm? Um…he hasn’t been the coach for 11 years. What do you want him to do a negative story on his golf game in retirement???

I hear you, John (you, too, Hammy). Greg’s take on this is just really, really weak. Making the jump from questioning Holly’s hug to being unwilling to report negative stories on Stewart and Watson? Really?

I do not bet, but I look at the odds. The odds are interesting becasue they are unusally accurate (just any bettor how many times they have been wasted by the spread)

anyway…..WOW!!!! I have NEVER seen a smaller number in front the second number ( 1-2 )at the start of a tourney like this …..WOW!!!!

West and South look pretty simple…Syracuse caught a break. KSU is over-achiever Sweet 16,will be a stretch. Duke will exit early.

Texas…Rick Barnes is dead man walking….how many folks did they bring to KC..20-25?..way to travel Longhorns. I’d be good with just giving Texas the Football Championship and KC gets the Basketball.

Saw Holly give Sherron a hug and it registered as just a little weird but I get it…she has been covering KU and Sherron for years….why not, that had to be one emotional arena in the moment.

    Dear Kevin Kietzman-

There is a reason why you had a successful local show. You are very locally minded. You are from here, and you passionately built a local base.
You are smoking crack if you think that Jon Sundvold is better for Big Monday than Bobby Knight. Here, let me light up another hit for you Kevin.
Bobby Knight is fun to listen to and his lack of broadcasting finesse is what makes him appealing. Also– I did notice that he improved as the season progressed. Knight is the winningest Division I coach of all time, and one of the most colorful figures in collegiate sports hstory. Jon Sundvold? Are you freaking kidding me?
KK, you hold a grudge worse than anyone.
Just because Knight did not kiss 810’s behind when he was at Tech, you blacklisted him.
But guess what Kevin.. Your ratings are slipping. Your performance is getting poorer. People are tired of your frathouse environment.
I think that the reason that you are still #1 is because KC can only support one sports station. It is not big enough for two stations to be strong. Hell, I have been switching over to Shanin and Parks more lately.

Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Between the Line fan listens for – are you ready for this? – an hour and twenty minutes.

Ryan Maguire: How can that be?

Researcher: Answer most commonly given? “I want to see what he’ll say next.”

Ryan Maguire: Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate KK?

Researcher: Good point. The average KK hater listens for two and a half hours a day.

Ryan Maguire: But… if they hate him, why do they listen?

Researcher: Most common answer? “I want to see what he’ll say next.”

I’m late to the game on this one but did anybody notice Karen Kornacki broadcasting live outside the SC on Saturday night before the game. I swear she looked like Len Dawson in drag.

Good eye, MD. She is actually a product of a Polish wedding dance encounter at Pitko’s, when her mom asked Lenny to show her how the 65 toss power trap worked.

Wrong, Uncle Dick. Kornacki really IS Lenny in drag. I thought everyone knew that.
