If Mckinney-Jones continues giving out facials I’ll make a bid to get UMKC on 610!!!

If that would’ve been in a Missouri game, ESPN would’ve never seen it. Metro Sports’ management’s creepy obsession with the Roos is the only reason this was even televised. It looked like there were about 20 people there and even less watching at home.

Jason King is an unadulterated moron. This is the same putz that labeled Mizzou “a program on the decline” at the beginning of this year.

You almost touched on why Kansas City will never get an NBA team.

The college ball is just too damned good.

Kansas is one of the top sports franchises in the nation, on a par with the Yankees and the Cowboys.

Kansas Citians aren’t gonna drop $75 bucks a night for a nosebleed seat to watch a mediocre team. And I don’t think the Lakers or Celtics are looking to move.

Meanwhile, the UMKC dunk was nice eye-candy. But it’s really good K-State is relevant again. And Mizzou never plays a boring game.

So that’s six days/nights a week more people will be interested in, going to, or tuning into a college game. They won’t go out in the Kansas City winter’s night for a meaningless mid-season NBA game.

Another dunk on ESPN’s Top 10 plays?

    Yaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnn!

ALL these kids can dunk now. Big deal! I wanna see more of Sherron Collins’ dribble-juke-drive-scoop-layup plays or Clemente moving like lightning towards the hoop then dishing off or Kareem of Wheat swatting away shot after shot.

Frank Martin’s 2010-2011 paycheck is getting bigger by the day. He might in $2 million territory by April. What’s the Vegas odds that he stays at K-State? Or the odds that K-State will fork over the deserved dough?

Although I think that KSU will pay what it takes to keep Martin, what jobs are out there that he might jump to? Indiana isn’t going to tolerate Creans sucky coaching much longer, Virginia, Michigan, Iowa, St. Johns, Connecticut (?),Miami, Georgia. Most of these are at least on par with KSU on appeal.

    From Bottom Line Communications.

KCMO-FM DOMINATES RADIO RATINGS IN KC; WHB CRUSHES KCSP.

Cumulus Media station KCMO-FM took over the ratings lead in the Kansas City market by crushing all comers in January with a 7.4 rating, easily outdistancing Entercom’s KQRC, which finished with a 6.7 in the latest Arbitron Portable People Meter (PPM) ratings (LINK TO ALL RATINGS).
The ratings (below) are for all ages 6 and above and for general reference.
NewsRadio 980 KMBZ-AM garnered third place with a 6.2. Urban station KPRC, which dominated radio ratings for years in Kansas City, has been severely hurt by the new PPM rating system and was a distant fourth at 5.5.
In sports talk circles, perennial leader WHB-810 finished in seventh place with a 4.8 rating, its highest in the past six ratings periods. On the other hand, rival KCSP finished in 20th with a 2.4.

    Interesting….

Wasen’t young, hungry and fresh Chris and Cowboy going to destroy KK and 810 by now? I mean they had all of the young and hungry host. They got scoops over last summer, they were young…and hungry to take on the big dogs ad 810…

Looks like people didn’t like what they heard from 610. Chris and Cowboy sucks, Nick Wright is a jackass and Jim Rome is old and stale.

Since Old Man Kissel didn’t say it i guess I will.

    810 scoops 610 once again!

That might be because you and Kissell are one in the same. Course you might be K.K. also.

I can assure you that I wasn’t one that saw Chris and Cowboy as contenders.

Greg CLASS ACT admitting you had it wrong about Martin!

Every parent should memorize Martin’s quote about kids wanting discipline. As someone that managed kids i was always stunned at the number of parents that wanted to be their kids friend, couldn’t say no to them, or felt they have to experience life. The they would call me and ask me if I could speak to Bobby “because he listens to you.” Let me add to the Martin quote. “Boundaries baby Boundaries.” Just as most animals feel more security with a fence around so do people.

When in doubt say two people are the same. Or that were KK. Typical.
