Tony: Upcoming Kansas City Burlesque Collaboration

Just recently I’ve received word that there’s a bit of a Kansas City Neo-Burlesque history in the making.

The Kansas City Society of Burlesque (KCSOB) and the Burlesque Downtown Underground (BDU) are soon to collaborate on March 4th in what’s being called a Kansas City burlesque extravaganza.

The working title:

“This Is Burlesque”

The project was put together by Susanna Lee a.k.a. Lucky Deluxe in an effort to showcase the all of Kansas City’s top Neo-Burlesque talent in one place.

The Uptown’s Conspiracy Room will be hosting the event that starts at 8 in the PM and provides the perfect place for this hastily assembled gig of top tier female comedy, dance and singing talent. Of course, like all things burlesque there’s a bit more backstory to this one that might have to wait a bit. But rest assured that there’s a really good reason that these Kansas City ladies decided to work together and I can only hope the sense of unity is enough to maybe make them kiss or at least closely hug as the show moves forward. Developing.
