always thought bob moore was related to Carl Peterson, rumor was he was Carl’s brother in law. It finally ends all the old staff there from Carl’s days…so in a way a good thing.

Bob Moore was Smithers to Carl’s Monty Burns. He was a public relations man who hated having to relate with the public. He was probably Rufus Dawes.

    Good riddance.

In all my dealings with Bob Moore (and there were plenty), the guy was an arrogant prick, not to mention he had no freaking clue about how to deal with simple media requests. He always had some sort of thinly-veiled threat going on with those of us in the media that never worked (knowing others within that department and how to go around this asshole suited me just fine).

A (middle-finger) salute to you, Mr. BM (which stands for “bowel movement” in your case, dickhead). Good riddance.

It’s funny (boring actually, but the hypocrisy is funny) watching media people grind their axes over a guy that spent a lot of time sticking his finger in the eyes of people lining up to be the first to record the next sentence of coach-speak or player, “We gonna give our 110 percent…” lines.

The consuming public doesn’t care about any of that.

Good job KSU, against a tough Baylor team. It is interesting to see who is ranked and who is unranked, the only truth is on the tape, and the Bears are a tough team. I too, think they will make the big dance, while moronU will not even be invited to the NIT. geeeezzz those idiots at mu are dilusional, full of shit, morons. Those mu jokes just keep on yapping, while mu has NEVER done anything, anywhere.

    So again,
Good work KSU, I hope you do well this year, but do not get your hopes up for Saturday, this KU BBall team is long, tall and deep. Our passing and skills are improving, while Cole is an improving Frankenstein under the net. Our bench is a pack of hungry wolves ready to devour anyone in their path. ROCK CHALK JAYHAWKS GO KU !!!!

We do not have to win it all to be happy, we have our national respect firmly intact. All I ever hope for is to land in the sweet 16, and I think we can do that. GO KU!!!

    Pullen was ON FIRE.

And Baylor, who was smoking hot against Kansas, only hit THREE 3-pointers.

Any idea what the KU/KSU point spread is? If KU’s favored, it won’t be more than 1 or 2 points.

I think a KU win would much more impressive than a K-State win. Manhattan will be INSANE.

Kudo’s to you Greg. You predicted the demise of Bob Moore back in the summer when I complained to you about his employment. He was a jerk and he has gotten what he deserves. Sorry it took a season.

why is Digger’s dance labeled “bizarre”? we tell people in the media to stop being so arrogant and self centered and serious, and then a long established media icon lets loose with a jig with a hottie on the pregame. it’s cool to me.

I’d love to see Whitlock do this saturday in manhattan, that is, if you can find a hottie there.

GH: I might have been a bit hard on Digger’s dance. I saw a truncated clip of it on ESPN that only showed him dancing and leering at the Clemson cheerleader. The complete video adds some context that this was more of a dance contest rather than Digger just stalking the girl.

I’m usually the last person to give K-State credit for much of anything, but their fervor and noise inside Bramlage this year has been very impressive. That place is going to be jet-engine loud on Saturday, and should make for one hell of a basketball game.

Considering the Chiefs history, is Bob Moore’s new job full-time?
And yes he is Carl Peterson’s ex-brother-in-law.
Another little factoid–believe this is right. Moore is married to the ex-wife of former Royal, Renie Martin.

Baylor is turning into the Big 12’s version of Clemson. Lots of talent, lots of early season wins, lots of disappointment when the schedule cranks up.

    Dear K-State:

Congratulations on your 2-point victory over us. It was our pleasure melting down in the final minutes of the game and we’re sure you appreciated LaceDarius Dunn’s out of control, wild final shot attempt that was off the mark. We can only speculate what the media might be saying about Frank Martin and the Wildcats today had things turned out differently. Good luck this weekend against Kansas. We’ll see you in the Big 12 tournament in a few weeks.

    Sincerely,
    The Baylor Bears

DID NO ONE ELSE NOTICE THAT KENTUCKY LOST LAST NIGHT? or is there such a bias here that it is not really considered “news wirthy” that the MIGHTY KANSAS JAYHAWKS WILL BE BACK A #1 NUMERO UNO, TOP OF THE HEP, BEST IN ALL THE LAND in the next rankings : )

    YEAAAH!!!!
ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK… GO KU !!

No, nobody noticed or cared last night that Kentucky lost because most REAL KU fans don’t give a sh*t about being #1 in January.

HUGE win for KSu…about every KSU fan I know had that one done as a loss. Now, the pressure is off, even if they lose to KU Saturday, the Cats should still finish with 10 or 11 Big XII wins which will be good for 3rd or 4th in the league…and have the tough part of their schedule done…only ‘unwinnable’ game is in Lawrence…finish 10-6 in the league they’ll be 23-7 over all…win 1 or 2 in KC and they’ll be in great shape going in to the NCAAs…

    Dear Kansas Jayhawks:

We want to thank you for coming to our little tumbleweed town in the middle of nowhere this weekend. This is by far the highlight of our entire year. We just put a fresh coat of paint on the fire engine and replaced all the burnt out bulbs in the street lights downtown. Everyone is just so darn excited that ESPN will be broadcasting here live on Saturday, that Stickel’s Dry Cleaners has been absolutely overwhelmed with everybody bringing in their nice church clothes for cleanin’ and pressin’. Heck, even Mayor Snead went out and bought himself a real nice new plaid suit. This is just about the swellest thing we’ve seen around these parts in a long ol’ time, and well, we just wanted to say thanks for making it all possible.

    We’ll see you soon!

    Sincerely,
Kansas State Fans, Students & Alumni
