jack…stick to movies. This self gratiating
event is a yawner. A bunch of old out of work
musicians and radio people coming together to
try to make each other laugh and
realize the golden days of radio are over.
Whos the next roast? Jack Benny?
    Louie Armstrong? Dean Martin?

Sounds like it’s going to be a party. Any of the old KY102 airstaff going to be part of the roasting? Any names?

I’d like to hear Mystic Number National Bank,
or Grits, or Manchester Trafficway, or White Eyes. Those were some great bands.

Sorry, but KUDL-FM was the first and best rock station in this town. 102 simply copied their format and became the second banana on the block, back in the early days. I know this because I used to work for Bonnie Harney at Cowtown Productions and KUDL was the obvious choice for advertisement and concert promotion. I left town in 1975 so I don’t know the history of what happened afterwards except for the fact that KUDL went away. It was great while it lasted though.

    Question
    Who gets to bang Frankie……..again?

So Duke what is your point? Just want to rain on someone else’s parade. We can’t celebrate 102 and its success? Just one company can be successful? You are a historian and just want to make sure we got things right? Geez…

    Question man you’re a mean sick motherf#$@%&.
In her hayday Frankie wasn’t banged at KY-102. She was shared by several air and management types. And let’s not forget the Comets who ran her up their honorary flagpole during her pre-Maas days.
I was there back then and saw a lot but now reliving the dream in Cincinnati.
Wish I could make Max’s roast but settle for a t-bone instead.
