How many Super Bowls did Shanahan win without John Elway? Unless he finds another Elway he’ll make the team respectable (Marty did the same thing) but no Super Bowls during his tenure. And if Marty couldn’t work for Snyder I don’t hold out a lot of hope for Mike.

The Chiefs won’t draft a QB because that would be tantamount to Scott Pioli admitting that Matt Cassel is anything less than YA Tittle, Sammy Baugh, Joe Montana, John Elway, Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman and Joe Namath all rolled into one. He won’t really care what Cassell thinks of the move but he won’t allow the public perception that he overpaid for the wrong QB to ever take hold. He MIGHT be willing to draft a guy in a later round so he could justify dumpoing Brodie Croyle, but that’s about it for hot QB action this spring.
