I’m not sure that Nebraska is necesarily the bully in waiting. Let’s see if Pelini can attract an offensive coordinator worth a damn before we start declaring that the Huskers of the 1980s have returned.

    ___

GH: Tom Osborne’s Nebraska ain’t ever coming back, but the Huskers look to be pretty dominant in 2010 — another down year in the North. They have MU, KU and CU at home. I like their chances.

ugh. Bob Fescoe is returning to KC?

Now I DEFINITELY won’t be listening to 610.

Holthus also called the KU-Belmont game last Tuesday on ESPNU. He was OK at it, but I still miss Split.

I wasn’t ever going to listen to Fescue anyway, but he decided to dis on K-State his first day? That’s nice.

    my prediction:
    MU 78 KSTATE 72
I still think mu has one good upset in them
every year and this might just be it.
As far as pinkel…i didn’t get a chance to
see the game but the score said it all.
Pinkel downplayed the game and bitched about
not going to a better bowl. But for MU
this was a good chance to get extra practices
before 2010 which is important when you have
a young team. However…pinkel needs to get
tougher on his deffensive coordinator. Its
been a nightmare for over 3 years now and its
time he either changed the coordinator or
brought in some topnotch coaches under him.
Pinkel has 2 years to prove himself..he will
never get into that elite level of coaches.
He’s not that great of a coach. But with the
talent he has and has coming he better change
up his squad or he’ll be at the all you can
    eat buffet with mangino.
    Mitch and Lenny…my favorite announcers.
They are funny..bright..and they make the
losing games somewhat fun. Their comedy
    routines are quite funny.
Chiefs/Hunt: the key is that 80% oif thius
years players will be gone from the team.
    D. Johnson is wanting to get out soon.
Apparently the defensive coaches are staying
because 2 coaches are now looking to buy houses
    in the metro area.
Happy new year to all my fans and readers.

Mizzou DID have a new defensive coordinator this year, jojo, but I didn’t notice much of a difference.

Holthus is NOT entertaining. He has become a parody of himself with that stupid “TOUCHDOWN KAN-ZA CITY” call of his. When he comes on the air with KK I can’t switch to 610 fast enough. And yes, Greg, he does think we’re that dumb.

Pelini is obviously doing a good job, but I would wait until he’s won a few games with his own recruits before predicting domination of the north.

MU beating K-State in Columbia would not be an upset.

Point well taken, CSI, but I wonder how many people under the age of 50 have any idea who Kojak, Columbo and Mannix are?

Ditto on Wendall Anschutz … I was unaware of his recent setback.

MU beating K-State wouldn’t be an upset. The Cats are good, but not a top ten team like they are ranked now. I predict 10-6 in Big XII, finishing 23-7 on the year, 3rd or 4th in the league.

I’m not even close to 50 and I remember Kojak, Columbo, and Mannix….of course I have spent the majority of my life watching massive amounts of TV. In my mom’s basement. Right JoJO? My wife and 4 kids live there with me. See that JoJO?

I can’t listen to Holthus on 810 because he is so full of crap it makes me sick and KK never calls him on it. There is no optimism for the Chiefs next year as far as I am concerned. This game was just like the Pittsburgh game. It does not really mean that much. You have two defensive TD’s and you should win. In the grand scheme of things it means next to nothing.

Mitch Holthus is a Spin Machine.

Ask him about the Missouri Valley, and he’ll convince you they’re better than the Big East and Big 12 combined. Ask him about Bill Snyder and he might inspire you get an Old Balls tattoo on your ass. Ask him about Matt Cassel and you’ll find yourself in an eye doctor’s office, questioning if you truly did see all the shitty decisions and plays Cassel made this year.

And if we think Mitch is a shill, can you imagine KK if WHB lands the Chiefs?

I say Missouri HAS peaked. I’ll be very surprised if Pinkel ever wins the North again.

If the Wildcats beat Missouri on the road Saturday, LOOK OUT. Wish we could just watch Texas, K-State and KU go at it right now.

If KSU continues playing the way they are now, they’re easily capable of 12-4. If they revert to the team that squeaked past Fort Hays, 10-6 may be wishful thinking in this conference.

The Chiefs’ blowout of the Donkeys doesn’t mean much? Seriously? Are you really that stupid, newbaum turk? The Donks were playing to get in the playoffs, and we BITCHSLAPPED them. Period. The Chiefs ARE getting better- the O-line blocked great in that game, the defense didn’t allow any big plays, and Cassel (other than that stupid INT he threw) played good.

    to my fans…
    k state #10 in nation..missouri #300..missouri
beating k state is an upset.
chiefs are a bad team. won’t make playoffs
    til ?
MU has not peaked in football. This was to
be a rebuilding year. They can’t beat the
south but they can beat ku. Big deal. KU
is dead in football. So until pinkel proves
he can do better he will be doubted.
KU has 9 nba players on that team. Get real.
Noone can beat them. No one will beat them.
Tx. is a fluke. K state will lose to ku by
10 points. KU wins it all. KU should have used
that “history making” ads on their basketball
team and not their football team.
Mr. Olathe and Gavin are gay lovers.
Gary Lezak is the #1 weather forecaster in the

Greg Hall needs to get a real job and work

Steven St. John had a heart attack

Kevin keitzman had a heart attack getting

Paul – The Broncos finished with a worse record in their last 10 games than the Chiefs. The Chiefs went to Denver, got a couple of nice defensive TDs, got hot, and beat a mediocre football team that wasn’t playing two key receivers. This happened two weeks after getting wrecked at home by Cleveland. You say “improvement,” I say “caught a couple breaks and won ONE sloppy game.”

Anytime a team that has nothing to play for but pride shows us that pride then there is progress being made.
As for Fescoe – I listened to him this morning until a caller complained he wasn’t talking sports and Bob told him to stop listening if he didn’t like it. I took Bobs advice and turned the station.

Mitch Holthus is the new Bob Gretz.

He’s Ego-li’s mouthpeice the same way Gretz was Carl’s. He goes on shows like BTL and gives Cameroheads like Paul reason not to kill themselves telling them stuff they want to hear.

The Denver win on Sunday is…forgetable. Next year, after another bad draft, more of Haily’s rants, a 4 win season and Elmer Fudd post game news confrences. No one cared that they finally beat the Denver in Invesco.

PS Ego-li, maybe it’s time you get out of your bunker and answer some questions from the press and the fans….

TYBME…the chiefs players werent playing for
pride…they were playing for a paycheck..
half of them will be gone next year (maybe
more) and they felt that one last good showing
might give them the edge next season when
appying for jobs with nfl teams.
Most of these players will be saying “may I
    help you” at gates.
Hopefully the coaches will be gone and new
    ones leading these players.
tghis is money and a career to the players.
They’ve worked all their lives to play in the
nfl. Even the bad ones were college
    players…so don’t think its pride..they played
to put bread on the table because some of these
guys end up broke once they leave the nfl.

I thought Greg’s comment and many others about the Chiefs not being improved was way out there. But Keitzman topped it when he said on the radio that “Really their is no difference between the Chiefs and Bronco’s. I would love to know what school of math these sports experts went to. So let me help them. 4 is better then 2. 8 is better then 4. I wish some of these guys would get a job at my bank because obviously I could convince them that $1000 is the same as $500 or maybe even less then $500.

So while Greg is calling for Todd’s head, here is what I saw this season. And I waited until the season was over so i could see the full picture before making a judgment. I would say if their is anyone that thinks like me it would be Bill Maas. Good company to have.

*The Chiefs doubled their win total and improved by 100%.
*They did this with the loss of their Hall of Fame tight end who was still productive and with their #1 WR out four games and the starting QB missing a few games.
*They beat Denver in Denver for the first time in 8 years.
*That win prevented Denver from going to the post season. Unlike the Jets who got wins when teams were playing at half speed all our wins came when they were fighting hard.
*Heard the expression less is more? They played Derrick Johnson less but got more out of him.
*They got rid of the cancer on the team Larry Johnson.
*They discovered a star running back. Something I predicted long ago (more on that later).
*They beat the Super Bowl champs.

Am I just seeing things through rose colored glasses? No. The stands were empty and they had their first black out in ages. Haley has got to get better. But he knows that. They need to upgrade players and have an improved draft. But THEY DID get better this season.

With the chances that Romeo and Charlie coming in that is something to get excited about. The Chiefs have the “potential” for a bright future.

Where is Glazer’s negative the sky is falling and the Chiefs are losers reaction?

So John you want to bet on that 4 win season next year? I think I got someone’s house and Craig’s comedy club this year. I’ll be glad to add properties to my monopoly board.

    Gavin hat’s off to you.

No guts awards. NFL Today when Bill Cowher was asked by James Brown about the rumors of him and NFL jobs. Cowher refused to comment. JB let him off the hook and moved on. He should of at least pressed to see if he would be interested in coaching again. No guts.

What I want to know. Jamal scores second TD and starts dancing. TV shows a shot of Dwayne Bowe holding Haley in a reverse bear hug. What was that about? Was he preventing Haley from going off on Jamal’s celebration?

Paul-I’ll refrain from calling you names (unless of course you re-post calling me more names) but I’m not drinking the kool-aid. This team has been awful for a good 30 out of the last 40 years. I remember the 70’s & 80’s as well as the all the bad teams of this decade. We’ll re-post this time next year when the Chiefs have won a whopping five games. These bums haven’t won a f-ing playoff game since the 1992 season. In today’s NFL that is damn near impossible to do. I think if the Bengals win this weekend it leaves only Detroit as the only team to go longer without a playoff victory. DETROIT!!! That is some damn good company to keep there.

But even as stupid as I am I know that their are two types of people. Those that do things. And those that point out the mistakes of those that do things. Some are in the game. Some are on the sideline. So THERE.

Then have some half wit by the side of the road just watching me become a crispy critter. As NIKE says “Just do it”
