They’d probably need to PLAY a game of national interest before they’d get that kind of lambasting. And since the Chiefs’ big rivals (Oakland and Denver) also aren’t any good and the Chiefs do not represent a major media market, it will be a long time before they’re on national TV and are in a position to take any shots from guys like Steve Young. Small mercies, I guess.

The fact that Pioli says nothing to Haley about his appearance and lack of punctuality speaks volumes to a trend we’ve seen out of Arrowhead all year: They don’t care what we think. That is exactly why I’m confident you’ll see Haley stomping the sidelines again next year.

It drives me insane shows play any coaches interviews at all. None of them ever say anything. I change the station whenever they play them. They all bitch about coach-speak. Then quit f-ing playing their useless interviews!

During the 810 Sunday post game show someone called Haley Elmer Fudd. I heard his news confrence on Monday and couldn’t stop laughing. He does sound like Elmer.

How sad is it that we have a bum who sounds like Elmer Fudd as a HC?

The only way I would accept Haley staying as head coach is if he has a full complement of experienced assistants. Otherwise, it’ll be the same crappy football next year. The glimpses of better play we have seen this season are indicators that this coaching staff did get the max out of these players.

Washington mailed it in last night; I thought the only thing that could change things would be if Campbell got hurt and could not return. As a Giants fan, I was happy to see him come out to play at the beginning of the second half, and not Todd Collins.

Yup, coach’s interviews suck. Reporters still have to go to them in case there’s a verbal hiccup, but for the rest of us–we’re outta there.

This is just another Gunther/Ganz experiment gone wrong. Cut bait now…and start the hype machine up again.
I’ve been wondering about the Homeless persona from day one. Dude is not presidential to say the least.
Holmie to Cleve….The Rat to Washington….How bout bringing back Marty–arguably the best NFL coach in the last 20 years?

Oh good grief! It was supposed to read “…that this coaching staff DID NOT GET the max out of these players.”

Darn, and I read it over and everything!

Greg I’ll bet you Gavin’s mortgage that Todd does not get fired.

    ___

rick, I believe what you mean is that Pioli will fired Haley, just not this season. My point is why wait the required two or three seasons to do the inevitable? We need a different kind of coach

I dislike people that talk out of both sides of their mouth. Theismann first says he has been around football 30 years and you need a quarterback coach and wide receiver coach. Then he is quoted as saying football is not that complicated. Well if its not all that complicated why do you need all those coaches? Did Stram need a QB and receivers coach? Which is it complicated or not?

I said it earlier about this loser haley
when he was groping/dry humping his wife/mistress in brio on the plaza. And everyone said it meant nothing.
Sorry…if you are a public figure (tiger woods
excepted) then you don’t act like this.
Haley is lost. He just doesn’t have a clue.
He cant seem to get anything right and he probably is over his head.
Obviously pioli didn’t do his homework. When
gonzalez/waters came back from the pro bowl
and talked with kurt warner who said haley was
the biggest loser he’s seen and noted he was
terrible with the players (including fitzgerald/
bouldin and other) pioli should have taken a
second look. But no..he was set when he had a
choice of many super bowl coaches to choose from
    and make a pitch to.
Cut your losses…cut haley now…its not going to get any better and this rebuilding process
    starts all over next year.
Clark better wake up. the sight of empty seats
and blackouts at arrowhead are coming real
    fast.
And do we need a qb coach/a receivers coach/
…I always find the most successful program
in an industry…see what the leaders are doing
then follow that pattern. Yes…we do need
    coaches who have nfl experience.

It wasn’t complicated for Stram, and he didn’t look like a cross between the Unibomber and Lee Harvey Oswald.

GREG: I will agree that you do know a few things
about sports but stick to sports only.
You know nothing about politics, the health
care bill, medical care, insurance or what’s
happening in d.c….so stick to sports!

Pioli would NEVER fire Todd Haley after one season, just like he would NEVER do anything to suggest dumping $64 million into Matt Cassel was a mistake. Both moves appear to be gigantic failures that the organization and the fans will have to endure for at least another season.

Pioli’s ego and Carl Peterson’s ego would fight to a draw in a steel cage match. They are one in the same, they just carry themselves differently.

Greg-Yes I don’t think Todd will get fired this year. Yes the Shield was a good show but had some wild plots. Great cast. I guess Vic would shoot half the players if he was coach since he killed some of his fellow cops.

Though this is a stretch to compare Jimmy Johnson and Todd. Jimmy’s first year in Dallas they won what, one game? Fans and media were calling for his head. Rarely are their quick fixes. I believe all coach’s firing is inevitable.

But that being said…….(cheap shot alert). Greg I would say you are the expert on termination 🙂

Todd Haley’s voice is irritating to a fault. For some reason… his I-can’t-be-bothered-to-straighten-my-back voice makes me want get all face-punchy.
