Why were the listeiners the winners? From the quotes I read he said a whole lot of nothing……

I hate the guy with a passion but I think Wright knew this. The Patrick interview was just a lot of talk about nothing…..

LJ had two good years with us. As soon as he reached 400 carries that one year he was done. He’s a loser. Whether Pittsburgh or Houston or whomever picks him up, they will be disappointed. Damaged goods he is. Even Jay-Z dumped this guy to the curb. Must’ve spit Crystal on Beyonce

Dan Patrick is no longer with ESPN. He is with SI/CNN. Here is the link to the interview: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/danpatrick/blog/85681/index.html

Nick Wright doesn’t even know from where his audio comes?

    Does anyone actually fact-check anymore?

Odd thing about all this, almost nobody that knows Larry defends him at all…even he does little to defend himself…I do think the things he did were not that big of a deal and he got used to scapegoat an awful team…like I said before if he were a good back not much of this would have mattered….when you add it up he is just a guy with a big mouth who can’t back it up anymore…

    Greg,

come out of the cave. Dan Patrick severed his Espn ties a couple of years ago. His radio show is not part of espn….1510 broadcasts Mike & Mike in the morning. Patrick is affiliated with Sports illustrated and CNN, according to his web site. It also lists where his show airs, and it has no KC outlet. (Which is common sense–610 couldn’t air cuts from the show if it were being broadcast on a competing station).

Honestly, it wouldn’t bother me one bit to never hear the words ‘Larry Johnson’ uttered by local media again.

I’m one of those that is going to dismiss his comment with not A LOT of merit in regards to the “tough” Kansas City media. KC is no NYC or LA when it comes to being tough on its athletes. Larry pretty much had to beg for the bad coverage. In New York the Marty, Greg Hall, girlfriend stories would of been front page. Look at Dennis Green in Minnesota. Not much here over Pena and the neighbor. We’re wussies. We are the city if you ask a tough question the Royals ban you from news conferences. In other cities their would of been a news boycott. Here we just whimpered.

Nick was stupid. He should of played up this scoop. And it sounds like he lacked knowledge on the source.

Craig you are partially wrong. Did you miss Koby’s interview yesterday? Larry’s fellow running backs liked him.

My bad on the Dan Patrick/ESPN link. Two beat downs for me with a caveman club for that gaffe. I got the following missive from a reader…

“Dan Patrick is not part of ESPN Radio anymore. In fact he snarkily refers to the network as “the mothership.” His show is produced by The Content Factory and is distributed both independently and on the FOX Sports Radio Network. As far as I know…1510 doesn’t pick it up. Higher ups probably made him play it because 610 is the local FOX Sports Radio affiliate.”

Has anyone seen the KCChiefs.com new tv parodies? They spook 30 Rock and The Office. Has to be seen to be believed. Nice job really

Larry stopped being a good runner. that’s why he’s gone now. Jerks who are good football players always get 2nd chances. He never did the little things, so when the big thing left, he was useless.

He runs well angry, so he might be good for another 1/2 season somewhere.

I am so sick of hearing about Larry Johnson, he is someone else’s problem now. That interview was worthless, and 610’s honcho’s should not have forced Nick Wright to play it on his show.

TWO WORST SPORTS PEOPLE IN KANSAS CITY!
GREG HALL: ALWAY WRONG! A BLIND JACKASS IS MORE
ACCURATE THAN THIS WASHED UP REPORTER. AND
WORST OF ALL THIS GUY IS BOOOORING. SAME STORY..
SAME OLD WORN OUT UNFUNNY LINES…SAME B.S….
AND HE’S ALWAYS WRONG ON EVERYTHING.
KK: SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH THE BROAD IN THE
CAR GIVING HIM HEAD. AT LEAST AT THAT POINT HE
HAS AN EXCUSE FOR BEING STUPID THAT THE BLOOD
    LEFT HIS BRAIN.
    KK IS WRONG…STUPID…WORN OUT…BOOOOORING…
AND HE’S ONLY RIGHT ABOUT 10% OF THE TIME.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO: KK GETS PAID TO
    PUT HIS BULL SH*T OUT…GREG HALL DOESN’T.
SOMEONE PLEASE PUT THESE GUYS OUT OF THEIR
    MISERY!

LJ is only a couple of nights out away from getting into Plaxico territory. It’s not if, it’s when.
