Good takes by KK. He;s on the money Jaba is on the hot seat but he’ll be on it for a year. If he has another disapointing season next year there is a good chance he will be fired.

There’s expitations now in Lawrence. Now Manjello has to produce.

810 kiils and scoops 610 once again!

Versus is in HD. 1055 on time Warner.

Mangino is not the “safest coach in the North,” Snyder is. If Mangino loses to KState, Nebraska, and MU, he WILL lose his job.

KState’s athletic office dealings weren’t dirty. They were of questionable judgement, but there was nothing illegal.

Dirty is when Nebraska cops wait until a certain player’s alcohol content has dropped down to a legal level before taking the official measurement after an automobile accident. Dirty is not booting a player off the team after he drags a woman down a flight of stairs by her hair.

    Bring ’em on.

That’s three weeks in a row that the dolts (C&C) on 610 have said that KSU will not win another game. Just keep saying it, please.

    Pt,
Thanks for the Versus HD update. I’ll adjust my note.

I am new to this area. The first impression I have is that K-Staters whine a lot. Shut up!

Greg, your hatred for KK and all things K-State is getting real tired. You were a whole lot better in the day when you’d just write funny shit.

College football is a business. No one is safe. The difference between Mangino and Snyder is that Snyder will get to choose the date and time that he exits gracefully. Mangino will be here today and gone tomorrow. That being said it will be tough for KU to find a coach with more cred than Mangino who actually wants the job. No big time big name coach wants to play second fiddle to Bill Self. No other major D1 program will get close to Mangino for the obvious death risk he poses. Best thing KU can do since this “historic” season has failed is roll out a new leaner-meaner-new attitude campaign that starts with Mangino shedding 100 lbs by next season. If they were smart they would use it as a fundraising tool getting people to pledge cash for each pound of weight he sheds.

I travel quite a bit. No one outside big 12 north states knows or cares about K-state. They are as anonymous as Iowa St. There are no conspiracies against them. No one cares. The whining just shows how out of touch they are with the way people see them.

I think Keitz is the problem.(The KSU whining perception) My sons and I are HUGE Cats fans, but we understand that you have to win a few games to gain some respect back. They’ll get there. I know you don’t think so, but give Snydes a couple of years. This weekend is crucial.

People will know about Daniel Thomas. He’s the real fucking deal. I love when DB’s try and tackle him…he crushes them. Best RB by far in the Big 12

Once agin Old Man Kiss KK’S Ass,evrything KK said was said on 610 an 9am not at 2pm, so KK must be listening too Nick ,too get his flavor for the day.KK is tired and old boring radio replace him with Thickburger schiller Soren and then you might have half of a show,by the way 610 had all this befor 810 so no props too your loser station.610 KILLS 810 ONCE AGAIN

When it comes to Keitz, GG’s post above is dead on. It’s nice to see the Cats being competitive again, but the way to get respect isn’t by complaining that nobody respects you. Go out and win some games you aren’t supposed to.

I’m forced to listen to 810 because 610 is so bad.

Mangino’s record was an embarrassment before he stumbled on TR. Can’t believe he was benched last week…Reesing makes that team go…Mangino owes him his job. I don’t think he’s that good of a coach, or why would he still be at KU? What he’s done is nice there, but KU will always be a hoops school first

DP…concur 610 is bad. Frat boys or White Guilt make for bad radio.

Greg … You point out that David Lawrence is unwilling to address a controversial KU topic, but how about the 810 morning co-host? Bukaty whimps out every time there’s an opportunity to point out something negative on the Jayhawks … EVERY TIME.

I remember the morning St. John had obviously handed a item to Bukaty to read and the little pussy said, “why are you giving ME this?” It was a story about the infighting between the KU football and basketball players. He whimped out again this morning when given the opportunity to comment on Mango benching Reesing.

Don’t you think a regular radio show host does a dis-service to listeners by caring more about his sideline football gig?

Not that Bukaty ever has anything interesting to say anyway ….

    MrOlathe
Greg points out KK’s comments to emphasize the absurdity of most things he says. And most KU fans do not expect to be a powerhouse in football. If we beat KSU and MU every other year, and NU about the same, go 3-1 or 4-0 in the non con, win 7-8 games regularly, then things are good. We don’t think that we will go 12-1 every year. We don’t really consider ourselves in the Natl Champ talk. We may pop up and go 10-2 every now and again and contend for the north. That would be great.

Cliffy, you must be listening to something else. I’ve heard Bukaty criticize KU plenty of times. The bias is in your ears, because it sure as hell isn’t coming from Nate.

Agree Emmitt, Kissel is the most annoying idiot, KK ball sucking faggot in this city.

Frat boy radio, I don’t see it. C&C do a solid & entertaining show. KK, I wouldn’t waste my time.

Good call on KK getting his material from 610, except his KSU homerism.

It is obvious that Kissel realizes that 610 is coming on strong and it is eating him up causing him to suck a little harder. 610 Rocks!!

Really …who gives a shit about the big 12
north…except those people who are losers.
Face it..k state hasn’t played a good team
yet and even if they win the big 12 north noone
    outside of kc will care.
As far as KU..mangino is probably tired of playing second fiddle on campus. With a good
season he would have gotten another job…
but this guy is so freaking fat that it’s hard
to watch him on tv. Hey mark…try the lapband.
MU…they can win it all with 3 wins in the
next 3 weeks against weak opponents. They cold
go into the ku game as outright winners of the
division without having to beat ku. At 8-4
or 9-3 MU is the big story this year. Rebuilding…a new quarterback and a solid year.
But all you hick would still want to talk abnout
    snyder and k state.
It shows how bad sports has gotten here in kc.
We’re talking about some of the worst football
in the nation. Not a rated team fro m the
north? WTF? It’s pretty bad being a sports
    fan in this area.
As far as KK…who cares? He is so full of
himself and his bullsh*t that he’s gotten real
    real old.

I’m wearing one of the people meters and I
can tell you that 610 is going to go up
    dramatically in the ratings.
I can’t stand kietzman and I put the meter next
to the radio and play 610 all night long!
    Bye bye KK…

    MrOlathe
You can’t blame a guy who wants to keep his job. That’s just what Bukaty is doing. It’s the same thing Clinks and Leebo do by kissing KK’s ass. And Mike Kelly. And Chris Chervino (sp). It’s also the same thing KK does when it comes to his KSU connections. He talked to Snyder yesterday and got all weepy and told him how all the MU, NU, Texas, & misc. fans were rootin’ for him because of how much they love him. I almost barfed.

    KU fan here.

I like Mangino and hope he’s NOT on the hot seat.

But Purple and Black n’ Gold fans beware should Mangino be let go this year or next.

Do you KU-haters REALLY want Lew Perkins to go on a coaching hunt? Lew’s serious about football and about winning, and if he gets a chance to hire a KU football coach, it’s gonna be a good one.

You hit the nail on the head with this one,
“I think KK just wants to get Mangino fired and end the progress Kansas has made in building a more successful football program under Mangino.”

Back in the early 90s, KK used to spread rumors about Glen Mason leaving. When asked why he did that (when he was supposed to be a “journalist” at WDAF-TV), he said, “It hurts KU recruiting.”

Nick, Lew Perkins killed football at Wichita State, left Maryland under a cloud of suspicion, and hardly left any kind of mark of excellence on UCONN football.

I want Mangino to stay. Snyder owns his ample ass. But if he leaves or gets fired, I’ll welcome anything Perkins wants to do.

  32. Anonymous says:

    JS
We all know why KK and the KSU nation hates Mangino. They would love to see him fired. It’s because he left with Stoops for Oklahoma from KState. KK still holds a grudge because Mangino and Stoops got a National Championship while Snyder slowed down and really had a declining program by the time he left. That will always stick in KK’s craw.

  33. Anonymous says:

    MrOlathe
I’d say what Perkins did for UCONN football is quite impressive. They’ve only been D1 for about 3 years. And they are gaining on KSU’s 100 years in short work. And I believe a plane crash killed WSU football.

Mr. Olathe, thanks for injecting some factual information into the comments rather than Ptolemy’s blathering.
“Unfortunately, the Wheatshocker program suffered an unspeakable tragedy on October 2, 1970 as one of the two airplanes carrying the team to a game in Logan, Utah against Utah State crashed into the side of a mountain near Silver Plume, Colorado. Head Coach Ben Wilson and fourteen players were among the twenty-eight passengers and three crew members who were killed in a horrific crash that a careful reading of the Federal accident report indicates was completely avoidable and due to human error. Thanks to Jamie and Kelli for the above photo. While the October 17th game against Cincinnati was re-scheduled and played on October 31st, the team, program, and school first battled back and returned to the field against ninth-ranked Arkansas at Little Rock on October 24th under the leadership of former assistant coach Bob Seaman. The patchwork team of crash survivors, previously redshirted players, and freshman lost 62-0 but played out their “second season” and gained the admiration of the entire nation. Not as publicized as the Marshall University football team plane crash that followed only five weeks later on November 14, 1970 in which seventy-five people perished, many felt that the Wichita State football program’s demise began with this singular tragic event. “
