I witnessed two separate fights near our seats at Arrowhead last Sunday. All parties involved were completely sloshed. It’s becoming a dangerous environment. It really is. Security was WAY too slow in reacting to both incidents.

Biggest ego? Mirror help Jason meet Jason.

I just hope we won’t be stuck for four more years with Soren. Doesn’t Garden City need a trivia guy?

Heard James Brown (no not the dead one) on the radio this morning. It was either 710 or 980. He was talking sports and eventually was asked about the Chiefs. Spoke highly of Scott and Clark who he met and knew. Was not as sold on Todd saying that you should be open to suggestions and ideas from others and that a dictatorship was not the way to go. I am paraphrasing of course. Nice to get a national perspective instead of just the local guys.

If you want to see a good fight apparently the Blue Springs high school is the place to go.

I think people are missing the point regarding Scott Pollard, who by the way came across as a total bafoon on the radio,is why in the hell is a former player selling ANYTHING to a current player? It just opens the program up to such scrutiny and just wreaks of scandal. How much did Pollard sell the car for? Where does Tayshawn get the money? Non-story if it’s a car belonging to Joe Blow but the fact that when Marquieff was pulled over the car was still registered to Pollard makes it pertinent. The whole thing seems shady. Pollard is a retarded fool and I’m sure being lectured by Self and Perkins right now for even selling the car. And if Lew and Bill did not know about this then they are totally incompetant themselves.

Scot Pollard LIT UP Kietzman on the radio yesterday, to the point where KK went with a “you think you’re a bad ass just because you played in the NBA” blast….I only wish that Pollard would’ve brought up a certain Mission Hills police report to KK in retort.

Copyguy misses the point completely. Doesn’t matter who sold Taylor the car. The compliance office new about, and cleared it. Was a ’97 Tahoe, by the way. Not exactly a high profile, high demand car – unless you’re Lester Earle and it’s actually still 1998.

The only question left unanswered is how unethical can KK be? All he had to do was call Pollard and ask him what was up before he accused him of wrongdoing.

    CopyGuy,

If Kietzman put a story out that you had done something improper and put your name on the radio and never called you for your side wouldn’t you call in to defend yourself?

That is all Pollard did and I thought he stayed pretty calm. The word “erroneous” set Keitzman off because we all know that Kietzman is never wrong and you cannot question him. He just reports the facts. Cough! Cough! I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth writing that comment.

Moore and pioli could go down as two of kansas
citys worst disasters along with the floods and
tornados. Niether has made a major decision for
a professional sports team. They worked under some good gm’s but they never actually ran the
    teams themselves.
I just read where before dayton got Mike Jacobs
they found out that 80% of the homers jacobs
hit in 2008 would have been outs in royals
stadium. Most of Jacobs homers in 2008 were
hit on the road in smaller stadiums. Had dayton paid attention to stats (which history has proven he doesn’t) we might not have gotten
saddled with the most worthless player and
    constant strikeout batter.
Pioli needs to get haley to calm down. The
atmosphere at the stadium and in the parking
lots are becoming out of hand. I saw a fight
opening day which was a huge brawl.
Anger is boiling in the seats. Pioli better get
    hmself and haley fixed quickly.
    Headed to columbia…prediction: MU 31/NU 21..

Copy guy I don’t follow your logic. “Non story if its Joe Bow selling the car.” Ahh…not if Joe Blow is a booster and he sells his new car for $5.00. Also if you followed the early morning reports KS (as in the state not school) admits they are behind in paperwork in regards to changing who the car is titled and registered to.

But I agree with Greg. This was a total non story that Kevin has he tends to do tried make it into a story.

Take off your crimson and blue colored glasses for one minute and answer this question…

You have no problem with a former player selling an automobile to a current player? Regardless of legitimacy, you honestly think that is a good practice for any university to partake in?

no its no big deal to me. Again I would be more concerned if a booster or someone heavily connected with the school or a coach say danny manning selling a car. But Pollard he may know some of these kids through camp etc. Not a big deal. What you wouldn’t buy a car from someone that you worked with? I view a booster like buying a car from a vendor. I would more concerned if the guy bought a car from Keitzman quite frankly.

  16. Anonymous says:

    CopyGuy,

If you stopped this you would stop thousands of people who probably know each other from buying and selling to each other. What if it was a former football player from the 1977 team who sold the car? Is that okay? What about athletic department employees? What about University of Kansas employees? Where do you stop it? That is what the compliance people do is make sure that is a proper transaction no matter who the buyer or seller is. If proper procedures are followed then this is a non-issue and that is what the compliance people do.

It’s only the KSU fans who seem to find an issue in all this. Obviously Pollard knows Taylor. Most of the former players still play with the current players in the summer. Several live in Lawrence. I’m sure one day they were playing and Tyshon said he needed some wheels. Pollard said I got some. Here’s how much it is. The compliance office looks it over and good to go. No big deal. Probably in the future it won’t happen because of this jackass on the radio that hates KK with every jealous bone in his body. He’ll talk up a story and say :we haven’t heard the last of this” when actually we have. The big drug scandal of Bam and Joe Horn and Vanover. Remember how he said lots more to come? Nothing. The KSU bus in Lawrence where the guy was killed? He spent his entire monologue talking about that instead of KU beating KSU. Last we heard of that. When will you Wildcats learn? KK is chicken little.

I wonder where the car is that kietzman got
arrested in mission hills while getting a
hummer! Did kietzman sell it to his on air
buddy? Where’s the title. Were the seats cleaned? Did it have spots on the carpet?
Was it detailed? Was the upholstery all
worn out? Check with the DMV? It’s a
big story. When he was caught…was he in the
front or back seat? Was the seat reclining?
Was it a clean title or salvage?
    Guess there’s more to come!

The KK haters are out in full force!

KK had a great scoop, deal with it.

    KK pwned Pollard.

BTW, KK is a talk show host, not a journalist. There is a diffrence.

    810 scoops 610 once again.

Jerry Jones will go Lorena Bobbit on his staff and team if they lose on Sunday. This ain’t the Chiefs vs the Cowboys. It’s Jerry Jones, self made man, vs Clark Hunt, lucky sperm.

Most Synicated political talk show host like Rush, Beck, Savage thinks it’s an insult to them calling them journalist.

If anyone read a newspaper in the last twenty years knows most newspaper reporters and cable news reporters are not journalist either. I doubt the local hack from the Star or Wolf Blitzer has the “ethics morals etc” that you say journalist have Rick.

KK is a talk show host, just like Rush, just like Keith Olberman.

If you want journalism, watch some Edward R Murrow clips on youtube.

    810 scoops 610 once again!

    Old Man Kissel,

You’re mostly right. I’d say KK is far more like Olberman…stirs things up, not funny, and mostly annoying. But people like controversy and shock. That stuff sells big time. KK is proof of that.

KK’s coverage of this “story” does not surprise me at all. He’s been doing the same thing since his days on Fox 4. He used to say some of the most ridiculous things back then.

I say good for KK. It’s America. If he can make big bucks by over-blowing and exaggerating and misleading and enraging people, good for him.

But he crossed the line this time. The harsh, rude, and 3rd-grade-bully way he talked to Pollard is disgusting.

    GREG,

    KK’s repeating of the line,

Anybody ever seen Old Man K and KK in the same place at the same time? I think I am starting to figure this out. Kietzman does supposedly have a journalism degree. It is from K-State and all…but still…

  32. Anonymous says:

    rick
Kissel I again concur with you. But I don’t care for Rush, Olberman (and his 1950 references), and I don’t listen to any of these other opinion drawn shows either. And its even worse when the opinions are wrong-Keitzman “Mike Anderson is gone he won’t re sign with Missouri.” And his 100’s of other wrong stated facts. But this explains a lot. I now understand two things. You enjoy radio where the guy throws out a bunch of stuff be it true or not. The second thing is this is why you think 810 is scooping 610. They say unfounded things or express opinions and you feel that is a scoop even if it inaccurate. So if KK says the “Chiefs will go undefeated this year”. You’ll say 810 scoops 610 again.

In all seriousness I enjoy your much more recent thought out posts even if I disagree. Better then just your homer KK is great and so is 810 logic. I may not agree with what you say but at least I understand it.

After reading all your comments: If one listens to 610/810 yes the Chiefs fans know we can’t draft,so far young Hunt has been only half pregnent…now Clark comes the hard part my friend, you have a GM,a real coach(I think)and a top notch quality QB(he is) thats nearly all you have, one or two keepers on D and maybe one I don’t see two on Offense..a punter, maybe a placekicker,,,THATS IT…HUNT YOU, YES YOU, YOU THE ONE WHO ALSO ALLOWED CARL TO POCKET about 50 million in real eastate and chiefs dough YOU MISTER HUNT NEED TO COME LIKE JERRY JONES AND GUY WHO OWNS THE YANKEES…AND SPEND ABOUT l50 MILLION DOLLARS ON TALENT, NO, NO, NO OTHER WAY..THE DRAFT WILL TAKE THREE OR MORE YEARS…its on you…by the way you guys might be a slight bit nicer to your stars, since ALMOST NONE AND I KNOW THEM WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CHIEFS, LIKE JOE MONTANNA WHO WON’T STEP INTO YOUR STADIUM EVER, only the ok players have a relationship of much of any kind, and the old hero’s like Dawson,Budde,McNight, and so on…are slowly being pushed away…not good, be kind they gave their youth to you, so you do owe them something more than a paycheck…

Keitzman is the most entertaining sports radio host in town, and that’s not a compliment. His show is so flat and stale, if it weren’t for him getting dogshit on his face with the Scot Pollard phone call, he wouldn’t be as entertaining as he is. There was a real Don Fortune element to that “interview.” Pollard has never been accused of trying to be something he’s not; you’ve always know what you’re getting with him. Keitzman, on the other hand, can’t help but constantly put himself in situations that backfire.

Making unsubstantiated guarantees that turn out to be BS, bold declarations that blow up in his face, trying to break stories that have no legs and make him look like he has a hidden agenda other than grasping for ratings…you can’t make this stuff up. It’s like a character from SNL. You could write a weekly skit inspired by this guy and the shit he gets himself into.

Hopefully he keeps it up. If history is any indication, I’m sure he will.

problem is that hunt is a cheap ass. No other
way to put it. His daddy was cheap…and clark is even more cheap. Don’t expect much from the
chiefs over the next 4-6 years. While they struggle to improve so do the other teams in the
league. Denver/San Diego are about to explode
with talent and chargers will probably have a
new coach. So while we talk about 2010/2011/
2012/2013…thats a long way off and most teams
that try to rebuild like this team is..fail!
The cheifs and royals are only concerned with
making money. That’s their goal. They tapped out the taxpayers/got their renovations/are now
getting millions from their leagues and the last
thing they care abnout is winning on the field.
    Its all about the money.
Watch clark…he took a bath on a deal and he’s
going to try to recoup those losses quickly.
If you are ever around guys like clark and glass
you understand why the 1% of the country controls
the other 99% of us. Its their belief that they are the kings and the rest of us just serve on
their behalf. We’re fucked here in kc…and
we allowed these absentee owners to screw us
while they took all our money to arkansas and
    dallas.
