A lot of great insite from KK and the boys at 810. No wonder their No.1.

    810 scoops 610 once again!

    Greg,

Believe it or not, this isn’t a spelling correction, although it might look like one. I am pretty sure that the play you referred to as a “shuttle pass” is actually called a “shovel pass.” I think it’s called that because of the motion the QB makes when he “throws” it. It’s mistakenly called a “shuttle pass” quite a bit (also, on occasion, a “shuffle pass), but if you think about it, the term “shuttle” makes either no sense or describes every single forward pass ever thrown.

I believe you are correct, Gavin. Kadlec’s a douche either way. He’s sort of like that old fuckhead down the street that still calls Ali Cassius Clay. There’s no sense in arguing with him, it’s better just to nod and walk away slowly.

I’m sure when the old gezzer goes to that big Harpo’s in the Sky, they won’t tell anyone he croaked. They’ll prop him up in the booth and play his three standard quotes, like “Weekend at Bernie’s”. No one will know the difference.

They need to gas the old geezer Kadlec out of the Mizzou radio booth…they did it to that old drunk Grigsby in the Chiefs radio coverage and it improved tenfold.

If there is a difference, UD, it’s that Kadlec already smells like a corpse and it took awhile for Bernie to get there.

Bernie looked better dead the Kadlec looks alive. Bernie was hanging with a bunch of hot babes and cool people, Kadlec with skanks from Stevens and South County St.Louis cumcatchers.

    Gavin,
I am going with your correction. Shovel it is.

Bill Snyder can play the blame game all he wants. He took the job, he knew what talent was there. I doubt that he’ll last beyond next season. It’s going to be tough for him to recruit to a rebuilding program. His mojo is gone.

KU fans for years wanted Max Falkenstien to move on. It’s tough because that’s what your used to…”comfortable” with. But change must come and KU also did it with the Athletic Department. There is not one person out there who could disagree that things are not better than they were 5 years ago..10 years ago. MU must do the same with their old geezer.

Wow. It’s amazing to read how many fans of other Big 12 programs are torqued about Snyder coming back. The immediate expectations you place on him are inconsistent with those of the other programs. Nebraska gets excuses made for a loss before they ever take the field. Missouri beats a Big 10 foe, struggles mightily against Bowling Green and gets kudos for “getting the win.” KState goes into hostile territory with no talent in Snyder’s 3rd game back, gets cheated out of a chance for a game winning field goal at the end, playing a game on the road that Snyder traditionally gets ripped for NOT playing, and Snyder underperforms to OTC’s expectatons.

Smells like a bit of 610-style bias at work here.

“GH: As Weber pleaded for the refs to do their job and give the Wildcats another down (which I am sure they deserved), it reminded me that too often referees quit early. If the clock is close to expiring, they will almost always opt to allow it to run out instead of blowing their whistle and marking the ball for play. Maddening stuff

Bill Snyder is too long in the tooth. KSU should have looked for a younger coach that would agree to let Snyder look over his shoulder for a couple of years. KU, MU, and NU are all better programs today then they were in Snyder’s heyday. It’s gonna be aeons until the North beats the South in the Title Game. He’s Charlie Brown and the BIG XII is Lucy, always pulling the ball away at the last minute.

For all of KK’s ratings and financial success he’s still not a happy guy. He see’s himself as some sort of Bob Costas figure that should be syndicated on radio or have his own TV Show. I’m sure it kills him that Joe Posnanski is writing for SI and has to torture him when Whitlock fills in for Jim Rome. Even with his big ego he has to know that Soren Petro is far more informed and knowledgable. All the money in the world can’t make you happy if you’re not doing what you REALLY want to do.

KK got very lucky. Were it not for Jerry Green’s money and the fact that the competition was hammered shit he wouldn’t be where he is today.
