okay hall…even your biggest critic (me) got a
laugh from these posts. I’m starting to believe
that you should be working stand up at stanfurds.
but don’t bet the house against the chiefs.
They could be the surprise of the west and
    win 8/9 games.

did someone refuse to let a goat into the
power and light to watch a royals game?

The Chiefs should have won five games with a bad defense last year. I see a lot of wins down the stretch–if they can steal 2-3 in the first half of the season.
I refuse to just give up before we’ve even played a single game…

The key word for the Chiefs will be “availability”. Despite all the ball busting at camp I don’t get the feeling that this is a durable and well conditioned team that’s built to hold together over 16 games. Whoever the QB is will have a target on her back every week. The O Line has more holes than a lesbian orgy and the whole league knows it. Being a Chiefs QB this season is like playing Russian Roulette with a 9MM Glock. Whitlock may finally get his wish. We may need to bring Jeff George in.

    Matt Gutierrez.

I just learned about our 4th (now 3rd) string QB on Saturday night. What I have found so far is impressive. If you dont know about Matt Gutierrez, do a search, he seems like a baddass.

I am happy we have Matt Gutierrez I have a good NFL feeling about him, stay tuned….

…now with that being said, I hope Matt Gutierrez, stays on his toes cuz “Being a Chiefs QB this season is like playing Russian Roulette with a 9MM Glock.” no kidding.

Bill Maas sounds like a guy who was on something. Was he with some nine fingered woman taking X while he did that interveiw?

love the royals but they have sealed their fate.
I will continue to support them at the stadium
    because they are my team.
But the sad part is that they too are about
money. They are on an incredible attendance
pace this year and the money has to be
huge coming in. I did get a door to door
company come to my house selling royals
    tickets. I’ve never seen this.
I didn’t pay to rehab the stadium so I really
don’t have a voice. If Cerner or Garmin management makes a huge mistake or runs the
company wrong I can only voice my opinion that
counts if I am a stockholder or an employee.
I have no stake in the royals. But I did hear
that the kaufman girls have made it known to
the glass family that they are very upset about the way the team is being run. their dad risked his money to start this team and they have
been a loser for too long.
The glass family apparently believes that moore is the guy to turn this thing around. I can’t see it. But it’s their company…their team..their million dollar investment and
they apparently think this is the way to go.
I can actually see us again losing our main
core of players. Butler is about to become
a major player and eventually will want to be
traded to a winner. Dejesus probably will want
out. Greinke has got to be totally pissed
because now the royals have to restart the
reb uilding process again. But greinke owes the glass’s everything. They stuck with him during his tough days and he feels loyalty there.
We’ll probably lose a starting pitcher..
the team will have a major restructiong AGAIN…
and we can only hope that they get a break next
    year.
It is sad. Not only for the players on this
team but for us fans who thru the tough years
    continued to support the team.
There is still nothing better than watching
baseball at kaufman ( i hate the “K”…it
desrespects the man who made this team)…
during the summer. And hopefully the same
    for football at arrowhead.
Sad as it seems…again…there is always
    “next” year.

Smartman awesome comments and very funny. But disagree with the remark about conditioning. How could they possible be better conditioned? This was not camp Herm.

Hopesprings-Did you miss the 2 picks Matt threw?

Glad Billy Bob’s voice is heard again. Hope this is the beginning to a road all the way back. Him and Adam T on 610 gives them some strength.

Greg, I LOVE your thought of having Haley go over to the Royals. If I could get one KC sports wish, it might be to have Todd Haley manage the Royals in 2010. That would SO FREAKING FUN.

I’d rather listen to Bill Maas on the radio than most of the nerds on 810 (St. John and his crew are always great). Maas is good radio. I hope he gets more time on 610.

Seriously, can anyone verify that Squidward and Danny Clinkscale are NOT the same person?

Greg: You’re not suggesting that Maas and Whitlock are the black and white PUSSY cats…are you.

As for Tracy Thomas…HOLY SHIT is she annoying on the radio. The only thing more annoying is Dave Ramsey…the “Act Your Wage” guy on 710 pimping for every fucking business in the metro as if he’s had personal experience dealing with them.

Just ’cause Maas and JW are on opposite sides of the issue doesn’t mean either one of them is right.

I’m taking the cure. No serious ball breaking on Scott-Todd until mid-season. They’ve got big balls… but is the meat attached Tommy Lee or jojo?

    Old Man Kissel, reveal yourself.

Are you King D-bag? (the affectionate nickname given to Kietzman by Chris and Cowboy). Are you Squidward…er…Clinkscale? Leabo? Ferguson? C’mon, spill the beans.

Bill Maas has issues, and I feel bad for the guy. I hope he gets through everything OK. No matter what may be going on in his life or what he may really be like in person doesn’t ruin how good he is on radio.

I agree that the Grunhard, St. John, etc. radio ads are annoying as hell. However, I would like to nominate (on a national level) that fake everyday good guy “Mike” from the Ford commercials. Please stop.

Despite the favorable back half of the schedule, if the Chiefs don’t win that Oakland game the second week, they seriously may not better last season’s mark and for me that would be a HUGE disappointment. The offense is woeful and even though the defense should be better, they will likely wilt as the season goes on no matter how much better conditioned they might be under this new regime. Being forced back onto the field after repeated 3 and outs…getting beat down by the always physical NFC East teams…past their prime players playing key roles…not exactly a recipe for sustained defensive success.

Absolute best case scenario is 6 wins and I’m really beginning to hedge on that. More likely 2-4 wins…sorry.

I admit – it’s a slow day at the office. But, I just noticed that in the 19th stanza of JoJo’s third post, he proclaimed it disrespectful to call Kaufman stadium “The K”.

Interesting – considering he called some of the most generous and successful philanthropists in our city’s history “the kaufman girls” – which is way more condescending and disrespectful to Ewing Kaufman’s legacy than calling a stadium “The K”.

Think how pissed the old man would’ve been if people went around calling him, “Mr. K.”. Oh. Wait.

Better record then last year though they have a KILLER schedule. How do I think they are better? Off the top of my head. Veteran players that can handle pressure. Young guys have a years experience. Assuming at QB we are healthy we are better. Better GM and coach. Owner willing to spend money. Gunther is gone. I think we will see a new star emerge in the running game. WR we are better. Yes Virginia I believe we are better on the OL. No Kyle Turley. DB’s have the potential to be top five. Linebackers with Monty Biesel’s leadership are better.

TE we are obviously worse. And DL is a question mark.

Dexter – I don’t just read them. I deconstruct them. They are the pure comic gold – some sort of stream-of-consciousness/tourettes-syndrome – laden style that I am not familiar with – but have grown to appreciate.

Knowing there is someone out there that I can disagree with everything on, somehow gives me more faith in humanity.

Cheaper than therapy – and more effective.
