fear of failure…the driving force behind
success. If you fear failing you will become
so certain that you have to succede that you
    will succede.
Snyder is a student of this…and its worked.
Haley is a student of this because its a
    simple process…
potential leading to absolute action leading
to results…leading to the absolute belief
that you will be successful= success.
The really good coaches and motivators understand
that certainty about success will bring success.
    The great athletes visualize success.
Snyder will be successful…haley will be
    successful…because they believe in the
certainty of the mental state of success.
This thomas kid has it…he will be the next
macklin in the big 12…maybe more successful
than jmac at mizzou…it will be exciting.
And if you read his qoute…he is certain of
sucess….good luck snyder…this mu fan is
looking forward to watching you come back in
    grand style…

    say,
that reminds me, how do you get to K-state?

Go West until you smell it,
and then North until you step in it.

K-state will always be 2nd raters.
When they had a chance to do good they blew it by losing to losers, and then they whined (as usual) when thier bowl game was already placed.

ow they are bringing back whatshisname after paying whatshisnameII millions in severance pay, but not really paying him, so has to sue for breach of contract, exposing the whole debacle. But what do you expect from this junior college, not to give them sh!t, or anything.

This movie is about people in Manhattan Kansas, but we were forced to film it in Arizona, cuz the people at K-state were so dang stupid, not to givemall trouble, or anything.

I happened to catch KK’s rant about the new beat writer for KSU. From the time he started you could just tell that he had “another angle” to his story. And then he tried to throw it back at KU and say “what would you do if they hired a guy from MU to be the beat writer at your school?” Well, the current beat writer at the Lawrence Journal World, Dugan Arnett, happens to be a MU grad. And the columnist there, Chuck Woodling, who’s been there for about 40 years is also a Mizzou grad. So, KK, we know how it feels. The world is not out to get the Wildcats.
And one more thing. KK’s little station has about 2 people who like KU (Bukaty & Ferguson) and EVERYONE else hates KU (including Danny Klinkscale, even though he went there).

Man…sports news must be slow. Did KStaters do anything to warrant these kinds of attacks? St. John manufactures a story out of a blind observation that KStaters are falling over themselves in glee and anticipation of the realization of lofty expectations for the coming season, and the Purple Nation is supposed to now go on the defensive? Sorry, but we aren’t lapdogs. Go find a story to write about — Beasley’s apparent melt-down, for example. Kansas State will be just fine. We are righting a ship that was listing into a rogue wave. We will be fine though.

And Missouri won the last 3 years because of superior talent, not toughness. Remember, this is still Gary Pinkel we’re talking about — Lee Corso’s Ball State Gary Pinkel.

Snyder and Favre are gonna have tough seasons. The only thing that matters is results. It takes a helluva lot more than attitude to be a winner. Fear is a great motivator, for some, for others it can have a crippling effect.

I thought St. John was unfair as well. Die-hards at any school will tell you they think they’ll do well. St. John tends to use these strawmen to belittle fanbases. He does it pretty equally – and it’s a relatively small gripe for me about a guy I generally like listening to. Even as a KU fan.

St. John is about the most listenable guy on radio. He’s knowledgable and funny. And I say that knowing that he hates my school (KU) with a passion. At least he doesn’t pretend.

And I was going to bring up KK’s self admitted loathing of KU by quoting him when he used to tell how he would have his kid hold their nose on I70 while they drove through Lawrence on the way to Manhattan. Real classy!

Abother great point by KK ans St. John. Is it any wonder 810 is No. 1 in Sports?

    810 scoops 610 once again.

Wait til KK finds out about Mangino banging a chick on the table in a restaurant. We can dream can’t we?

It’s not the point that Robinette graduated from Kansas…that happens all the time someone graduates from a university that is a rival but ends up working for the other…as in the examples you gave with MU grads working for LJW. The problem is his hate for K-State because he’s a “fan”. He lost all journalistic credibility when he started a Pro KU-Anti K-State blog and belittled the University and Manhattan. I couldn’t care less where the man went to school. But in a world where the newspaper industry is falling apart why would you hire somebody that has an obvious hatred towards the school you hired him to cover? KK has a beef here and I’m a Missouri fan. If Mcclatchy hired somebody to cover the Tigers who had a pro Ku-Anti everything Missouri and Columbia i’d be pretty irate as well. It has nothing to do with where he went to school, it has to do with the unprofessional way he ran his “fan blog”
