Greetings, What a great run down on the “Bird” events this weekend. So happy and appreciative to see all your listings.
Here’s a detail on the Gravesite Musical Tribute to be held this Sunday: It will be open to the public-all listeners and musicians. And all musicians are invited to participate, you don’t have to be a saxophonist. The past couple of years, even bagpipes have opened with Amazing Grace.
And this Saturdaythe 29th, Dennis Winslett, Education Director with the American Jazz Museum will host a panel discussion on “The Legacy of the Saxophone, before and after Charlie Parker”. Bobby Watson and Alaadeen will be panelists. That will be at 1:00 in the Atrium of the American Jazz Museum. thank you so very much, fanny
