Bottom Feeders Unite: ESPN Tosses KC a Bone

The sad state of Kansas City’s professional sports scene has resulted – by my limited measure – in an ongoing spate of spares sports coverage by national media like ESPN the Magazine

But we’ll take what we can get, right?

In the case of ESPN’s August 10th issue, that’s mainly a couple blips about Tom Watson.

That’s right, it’s come to this; senior citizens of the world rejoice!

“No disrespect to Stewart Clink…but how sweet would it have been to see Tom Watson holding the Claret Jug?a reads queries.

I think your quote should be “No DISrespect to Stewart Clink…”,
and putt is spelled with two Ps.

This is what being a KC sports fan has come to- taking pride in a local sports legend, who has not been relevant on the regular tour in 20 years, FAILURE to take advantage of his opportunity of making history and winning a major at his advanced age. Quite an accomplishment, but the objective is to WIN. The Royals will be irrelevant for as long as David
Glass is the owner and the Chiefs are a mystery coming off of 6 wins in 2 seasons. Bring on college sports, where at least my school has a chance to win titles, before I go insane.
