Mark Mangino CANNOT coach his ASS OFF. Have you seen his ass? It’s HUGE. KU will make history this season the same way Custer made history at Little Big Horn. The KU ad campaign is almost as bad as the Chief’s Trace Adkins anything can happen from the fifty. Who comes up with…and gets paid for shit like that. It’s bad enough that everyone ripped off the “We Are Marshall” slogan a few years back…and some continue to.

The Big 12 North is ALL about schedule. KU has a paper thin schedule last year and you saw a good season. This year (and next) they must face the reaper. There’s no shame in that.

Ptolemy obviously sent his post in July of ’08 and it has bounced around the internet until it found a home here a year later. This is the last year of KU’s rough road with OU, UT, and TT, and next year they go back to the easier south foes with OSU, aTm, and BU. It will be an interesting season in Lawrence, but if the Jayhawks want to take the next step, then they have to do it against some top 5 or 10 competition. Maybe Coach Mangino can hire Prince for a week since he has the Midas touch against the Longhorns.

I think KU has a good chance to go to a bowl again this year. That may mean a 6-6 record but even that is still continued success for the Mangino regime. I think their schedule precludes them from winning the North. If they do that then they have had a great year.

ManDshagger – you are SO cute and original! I’ve never heard such original humour…Gosh, you really didn’t think of that all by yourself did you??? I never even noticed Mangino was heavy! So intelligent and original…

greg hall…are you going to the same doctor
    michael jackson used?
What stupid comments about ku beating texas
and oklahoma. To even think that ku is even
close to those powerhouses in any way is
the dumbest comment made on this small site.
Lucky for you not many people read this
site or you would be laughed out of this
    area.
I like ku but reesing can’t play with the
big boys. Have you seen the oklahoma
offensive line…huge! Have you seen their
    defensive line…they’ll crush reesing.
KU may have a chip on their shoulder but
both texas and ou are out for blood this
year. I pity the teams they play especially
    ku with their small size.
Get off the stuff greg…you are looking and
    sounding really bad.

Man Shagger is very clever. Mark Mangino is fat. Hahahaha! I get it, he’s fat, so let’s say he has a huge ass!! Because ad hominem attacks are funny when you can’t actually attack what someone is doing or how they succeed while doing it. And I love the simplicity of the attack: Instead of saying, as some have, that Mangino sweats Ragu or that his taint is used as a trampoline by children or that his nickname is Mark “Meat Show” Mangino, you just go straight to “dude has a huge ass!” Wow. Seriously, take this shit on the road because these piithy obersvations will really make people pause and think.

I don’t think anyone ever really noticed Mangino’s weight before, but I just went and did a Google image search and it turns out that Mangino might actually have a weight problem, so not only are you funny, clever and original, Man Shagger, but you are also correct. Nice one.

Don’t hide that cleverness, show it off! Have you noticed that Gary Pinkel’s hair is thinning or that Bill Snyder is older than most coaches? This shit writes itself: No need to say “Bill Snyder is so old that he shouldn’t even buy green bananas,” Just say “Bill Snyder is old! Have you seen that he has grey hair?”

Top-notch smack, Man Shagger. Top notch.

and comparing mangino with snyder…hall what
are you on? just one decent bowl and a fluke schedule…greg…wake up.
Magino will never reach the power of snyder nor
the record…mangino will reach the all yo0u can
eat buffet at ponderosa but one bowl game doesn’t
equal anything snyder did at ksu.
and after this season, the cupboard is bare for
big mangino so they go back to being the
best basektball school in the nation.
wake up greg…your comments are waning.

“Whoa! Seven losses for KU during this history-making season? Does that national writer live in Missouri?”

No, but he went to school there. Pat Forde.

Although KSU was about as low as possible when Snyder was hired, the situation at KU for Mangino wasn’t too much better. Terry Allen really set the program back. And the level of competition in the Big 12 is far greater than what Snyder faced in the old Big 8. Back then, KU, MU, & ISU pretty much gave up so that KSU had 3 easy wins from about 96-02. Along with 3 easy non-cons they were bowl eligible from the get-go. It’s still fantastic what Snyder did but give Mangino some credit.

Yeah, KU will beat Texas and OU? What ever you’re smoking I want some, because I think you may be the only analyst on this earth who thinks that.

Mangino deserves no credit similar to Snyder. He came on to KU during one the the easiest schedules in college football history. I could have coached them to a bowl.

From what I’ve read here greg, I think it’s fair to say you’re an idiot. KU will be lucky to have a 5-7 season.

What was going on in your mind to think national championship, football, and KU in the same sentence? This sport isn’t played on wood.

Oh and John Hubert. You probably don’t know his name, but this year hopefully and next, you’ll learn it well. He’s a RB (that’s running back) from Texas. He played in the same high school division as LT (please tell me you know this guy) and beat LT’s rushing, and TD records. Ranked No. 4 RB in Texas, he’s 5’9″ 200#. And he’s going to be the answer to K-States RB needs.

Do you guys not know what the word “if” means?

I also admire Todd Reesing. But still don’t understand the infatuation with KU winning the North. I base this on their finish last season. They lost 4 of 5 games before knocking off a medicore Missouri team; then beat a really bad Minnesota team in their bowl game. It’s going to take a lot of big IFs for them to match last season’s record.

Greg, something seems to be wrong with this website. I’d swear I just read comments from K-State fans accusing other teams of padding their records by playing weak schedules? That can’t be right, can it?

I thought only Nebraska fans were that myopic.

The hatred spewed by MU & KSU fans toward KU is laughable. How can you not give them credit for the 12-1 season? KU won at KSU, OSU, TAMU, & CU. Before the year you guys would have said they would lose all of those games. And VaTech was #3 and just missed out on being in the Natl. Champ. Game. Seriously! And how many MU fans thought there was a remote chance that they would lose to KU last year at Arrowhed? You gotta get over yourselves!

Not a KU fan but I’ll admit Reesing is pretty good…plus it seems to me college football is similar to college basketball because anybody can beat anybody. Will Texas or OU be as invincible as everyone seems to think?
