I love Stan Weber, but he could make Trey Hillman sound like Casey Freakin’ Stengel. Objective criticism is not Stan’s strong suit.

That being established, Greg, Snyder wasn’t “forced out.” No legend coach is asked to leave after experiencing a couple of losing seasons after 15 straight improving years and 11 straight bowls. That kind of inanity only happens at Nebraska. KState will be better than expected and not as bad as feared.

And for Petro’s claim that reunions never doing as well as the first go-round, I will have seen AC/DC twice in person when 2009 comes to a close and they are better today than they were in the 1970’s.

    Pt,
I am going to stick with Coach Bill Snyder being forced out despite your valiant protests. As for what may occur this fall, I think we are in for one helluva football season around here. I don

There is no question that this is nitpicking and I am not saying that KU deserves a banner or a trophy, but two years ago KU was the co-champion of the Big XII North. They had the exact same record as Mizzou and MU won the chance to get creamed by Oklahoma by virtue of the head-to-head record, not because they won the division outright. So, Greg, your admonishment that KU win a North title “first” seems to be moot, doesn’t it?

The story that came from three years ago was that Snyder was asked by Weiser to change some of his coaches, and Snyder never did that EVER. Coaches left but they were never dismissed. Snyder’s answer to being asked by his AD to fire coaches was the ultimate Snyder response…time to retire.

    That’s not being forced out.

But, I agree with you that this season is going to be a very entertaining one in the North. I’m not predicting anything in the pre-season because it is meaningless. However, Kansas, Nebraska, and CU are going to be at the top. MU and KSU will fight for one of the top 3 spots if KU falls as their schedule dictates they must. It will be fun.

    Gavin,
No. Winning the North is playing in the B12 title game. Did Nebraska win the North last season by finishing in a tie w/ Mizzou? No.

Typical Tigger fan – grasp at any straws you can to support your delusions that your football and basketball programs actually matter…

I shouldn’t disclose this, but I’ve seen an advance copy of Mike DeArmond’s weekly picks for the KC Star. Just like the last two years, he has the Tigers winning all 12 games by an average of 56 points. He also already recorded his vote for Blaine Gabbert to win the Heisman.

Additionally, he has MU over the Patriots in the Super Bowl and Gary Pinkel winning the nomination for Governor in 2012

gabbert is the physical attributes of
josh freeman and the arm speed
that the scouts from the new york jets
    said was “incredible”
We have high hopes for gabbert and the other
top quarterbacks the tigers have recruited.
They will probably lose to illinois because
this is the first real game for many of the
players. If thye beat illinois…watch out
they could have a really good year.
They lose to sooners but by the time of ku
game this team could be pretty good.
Of course we will probably ne ver win a
national championship but the last 3 years
    have been exciting.
and when you’re a tiger fan you hold your
    breath every second…every play…every
    down…every possession…every game is
an adventure for us mu fans.
What is exciting is that ku is expecting to
make history. They won’t make history with
3 or 4 losses but they have a good returning
offense and some great receivers so hopefully
they can beat either texas or oklahoma and
have a super year. I love mangino …the
guy has done a great job but if they have
that “historic” year it might be time for him to move on to bigger and better coahcing job.
    GO BIG 12!

AC/DC is better now than they were in the 70s? Sure they are.

And my 89-year old grandmother is just as sprite as she was 30 years ago. Uh huh.

Snyder is going to bomb. The Prince/Re:Snyder era is going to take K-State back to the dark ages of college football.
