Matt Cassel + 66 Million = Rob Johnson and Scott Mitchell.

    $22 to park at Arrowhead.

$100 for a ticket to the game.

    $60,000,000 for a quarterback.

Not having to watch Brodie Croyle-PRICELESS!

Kietzman’s talking like Cassel is a hall of famer! He doesn’t even have one full season of experience as an NFL QB. I’d wait before signing him to a contract that large, but that’s just me.

Greg – thanks for daily reinforcing my decision not to listen to “Ladies Aid Gossip” Kevin Kietzman.

Just because you comment on sports doesn’t mean you know what is going on or what people think.

another gamble. But pioli knows this guy and
haley the groper knows a good quarterbakc.
Its a way to show they are in for the long
haul. In football we don’t know whats guaratneed and 2010 is a no cap year so if matt is good
its the deal of the century. If he craps out
then they let him go and they can get out of
his contract because after 2010 even backups
    will be paid good money.
Haley has an attitude and he’s no hillman when
it comes to singling out a guy who isn’t
performing. I like these 2 guys. They are
    focused…loaded…they have a salary cap..
millions to play with and I think we have
to see what they can put together.
Haley could give a rat a$$ what people think
about him. He’s here to play ball and win.
Hillman is here to write notes to himselof
    and qoute the bible.
Even though the cheifs have been down…they
are still our team. And I have this feeling
that kk and the three blind mice at 810
will be shown to be wrong.
go chiefs. Headed to see the “king of kc
football” inducted into canton. RIP Derrick!

Listening to Keitzman talk Chiefs these days is like Eddie Haskell walking in the kitchen to compliment June Cleaver. Makes me want to puke.

This team will be 2-5 by Halloween.

Matt Cassel is going to make Ryan Leaf look like Joe Montana. Over-rated, over-paid and over and out by the end of the season. I hope he has good long term disability insurance. Maybe he’ll get some work as a Steven Hawking impersonator.

ANYONE that thinks the Chiefs should have just stuck with Thigpen deserve two wins a season. Remeber, Trent Green didn’t exactly come in here with huge numbers, and was rehabbing a nasty knee injury to boot!

The Matt Cassel haters crack me up….Scott Pioli CLEARLY knows what the hell he’s doing, folks. Cassel proved himself to be a winner last year, and with a full offseason of KNOWING that he’s The Man under center he can only be better. We FINALLY have a good young starting QB in KC- don’t declare him a bust unless he deserves that.

Will Matt Cassel give Bernard Pollard a nice little finder’s fee? 10% sounds about right to me.

    Greg,
I totally agree with you. Giving Cassel a big contract after he’s had mild success after one full season in the NFL (mind you the Pat’s O-line was terrible last year and anyone that tells you otherwise is foolish)and backed up the best QB in the NFL for three years is a WAY BETTER INVESTMENT than dumping money into an unknown commodity coming straight from college i.e. Stafford, Russel, Sanchez etc. Is there still risk? Yes, but far less risk than a top ten QB straight from college.

I rather give money to Stafford, Russel or Sanchez then a lifetime back up who should give Randy Moss half of that 66 mill.

Remember these names. Elvis Garbac, Rob Johnson, Scott Mitchell.

These are also lifetime back up’s should had one good season then fooled other teams to give them a lot of money.

You’d rather take your chances on Russell? Pretty ignorant statement if you follow football at all.

So you would rather take your chances on Elvis Garbac again?
