I don’t understand! Why would they come all the way to KC to film inside a hotel room! That sounds like something they could film on a sound stage!

Hotel Phillips can still reap the rewards of being in this movie and all the publicity that goes with it – without hitching its brand and reputation on Bruno. I think people would want to stay there even more, if they knew that it’d been in the movie. There’s intrigue and wanting to say “Hey, we stayed at that hotel that was in Bruno…”

Everything happens for a reason! Ride the wave, and use it to your advantage, HP.

It really has nothing to do with our brand or image. We could possibly benefit from the exposure. It has everything to do with the fact that one of our employees was pulled into the situation under false pretenses, then was shocked and offended by what he thought he saw. Baron Cohen shouldn’t be able to profit from that.

Personally, I can’t wait for the sequel – “Blaino.” He will cut a bitch!

Blaine, I hate to break it to you, but many people tried to sue/issue cease and desists to Cohen for Borat. I don’t think any were successful.

Maybe you should rename it the ‘Bruno Suite’ and have it come complete with rubber sheets, handcuffs, riding crops.

There was a continuing legal ed. seminar here with the Borat legal team earlier this year. Blaine, you should consult someone who went …

    someguy, that is hilarious.

    I get it, Blaine.

Regardless and most importantly, Hotel Phillips is bar none the best hotel in KC – for staycationers and guests, downtown dinner and drinks and exceptional service in a historic, boutique hotel. Every occasion is an enjoyable one.

Come on! Get with it Hotel Phillips! This is HUGE money for you! You will get so much exposure as well as KC and downtown! As for the employee I am sure he would love to be in the movie no matter how embarrassing! Come on Blaine it’s all in good fun! You can rename the room “The Sacha” and everyone in KC will come stay there. If your holding out for more money you might lose lose instead of making this a WIN WIN!
