Jim Rome is positively unlistenable, mostly because his idiotic callers. Lange is not funny in the least – put him right up there with Dane Cook, Borat, Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill as talentless crap.
Anymore, it just pays to watch sports with sound muted….

Yes Hippittee, Jim Rome still has a sports talk show….you know, the HIGHEST rated national sports talk show in this country. And I disagree “tdc”- Rome’s callers are one of the MAIN reasons to listen to his show. Needless to say I’m biased, but Rome always gets the best sports interviews and the best smack from his callers.
And best of all, he doesn’t spend a 1/2 hour out of every hour he’s on the air pimping ticketsforless.com, or Hardee’s, or The Pizza Shoppe, or Mr. Goodcents, or…..well, I think you guys get the picture.

Rome is a one trick pony. It’s so repetitive listening to him. Most guys doing sports radio get old after a while, whether they are local guys or national guys. Dan Patrick is hands down the best in the biz at sports radio. Jim Rome couldn’t carry Patrick’s jock as far as the honesty DP gets out of athletes and the laid back, relaxed, ego-free tone in his delivery and demeanor.

Jim Rome is a no talent hack who got lucky. It’s easy to do his job. Just let his dumb callers rant for five min. Say some dumb catchphrase. Kiss some football players ass for 10 min. Repeat cycle for 3 hours.
