THe only reason that many were there after our slumping ways and no giveaway, was because of Greinke.

great game. But why is hillman still trying to
push bloomquist out of the starting lineup. They
can’t just depend on greinke…they need at least
5-6 runs a game to stay in contention with their
other so so pitchers. Why not continue bloomquist at short? He’s hitting big numbers as a part time player. Whats up with Hillman.
Winning one third of their games will only put
them in the cellar again this year.
And crisp is in trouble. After another poor
night they pull him for maier. Great move.
Put both mitch and willy in starting roles and
lets see what happens.
Hernandez can’t bat his weight.

I was at the game last night, my first Greinke game of the year. Disappointed at the small crowd yet almost felt like I had a private viewing of an artist at work. Yeah, I said it, artistic.
He wasn’t dominate to the point where the Tigers couldn’t get a bat on the ball – they made some good swings. Zack was just in control and command. I looked up in the 9th and saw that he threw only 38 balls out of 118 pitches. He was throwing lasers last night. That is flat out amazing and it is why he will continue to win. It is also why the Defense behind him will rob him of maybe two or three games. Batters know a strike is coming and will put the ball in play in Zack on occassion. Stunned that we didn’t do more to improve D in the offseason because all of the good pitching is negated when you can’t field the ball.
