    tdc,
Now you’ve got me second guessing myself like I was Trey Hillman. Don’t make me get George after you! Maybe we’ll have to defer this one to JackPo.

GH…WHERE YOU BEEN? STOP DRINKING WHILE THE
GAMES ON. SUNDAY DID YOU SEE WHO REALLY SAVED
THE ROYALS A$$ AFTER GUILLEN NONCHALLANTLY
WENT AFTER A ROUTINE SINGLE THAT TURNED INTO
A DOUBLE. DID YOU SEE WHO PLAYED BALL LIKE THE
HUSTLING ROYALS OF THE 80’S? DID YOU SEE WHO
TURNED A SINGLE INTO A DOUBLE AND SCORED THE
WINNING RUN ON SUNDAY. WHO WAS IT?
BLOOMQUIST~! WHAT POSITION WAS HE PLAYING?
SHORTSTOP! So now, keep avilas down in the
    arkansas and let bloomquistplay everyday
short stop and hit 300 plus and play ball
    the way brett/amos/white/etc. played it.
Stop making stupid predictions like putting
gordon at short. The guys probably a bust.
Trade him or sell him and realize the huge
mistake the royals made picking him before
all the other mlb starters the royals passed
when they drafted him. And how many games will
be decided by an error by the shortstop?
Willy’s the best option we have. Let him play
everday and do some damage. Guillen: needs a
good whack in the head with the bat from glass.
    What an idiot!
Its like a drunk playing blackjack. Eventually
the guys loses all his money. Hopefully he
realizes that he’s not gonna beat the house and
gets up and cashes his remaining chips before he
    loses everything.
Also….I’d be interested in seeing the AL
versus NL record in interleague play. Its a
huge advantage to the NL teams when played in
a NL town. The AL pitchers who never hit are
at a huge disadvantage to NL pitchers who have to
hit during the season. And it forces more
strategy on the al managers when the go to a
nl park on when to pull pitchers.
FYI: avg. temp in kc in july 87/avg. temp in
    st. louis in july 88!

    jojo,
I like Boom Boom Bloom in a Royals uniform and as a utility player. Is he the Royals long lost answer at short? I guess we’ll get to see over the next three or four weeks if he can impress us enough to keep the job. All he has to do is make the routine plays and hit .275.

Yeah, KC in July ain’t no picnic either.

Its offical, again, sorry the Royals ARE ONE OF BASEBALLS WORST TEAMS, period…bottom ten at least, no offense and pitching will fade because of it…under .500, battle to beat last years finsish, remember last year they had one good hitter maybe two in Aviles and Jose, this year nobody….fourth place maybe third if they get one guy to hit, another sad season

    Craig,
Too early to DOA this year’s squad — but it ain’t as early as it once was. They do look very familiar. The fans are showing up in droves at The K and the players can’t even muster a competitive game? Biggest game of the year is Tuesday night. Greinke has to beat Detroit and stop the slide. A loss would be tough on even the most positive of Royals fans.

Signs your season is going south:
    1. Ponson was a starter breaking camp (yes, started early, despte good April)
    2. Bloom has turned into an everyday player.
    3. Ramirez is first one out of pen 40 games into season.

And now, I think we have to start thinking that Meche is pitching with an injury. He was brutal today.

Still, only 4 games out with all that trouble? I guess you have to feel good about that.

Look people…on Sunday the Royals faced the
hottest pitcher in baseball. He’s on fire.
But they still are going after the first pitch.
Slow down. Let the pitcher throw some pitches
before you take a shot. Where’s Kevin Seitzer
when these guys are hitting like this?
Why did KC hire him in the first place?
Were there no established hitting coaches in the
entire league available or was this Bretts
Gang pushing for another “friend” to get a job?
Dayton Moore. Where’s a solid plan to build a
team? You rushed into this year needing a
winning team with the new season but it seems
you’re having to pay for 10 years of poorly
managed farm clubs and the lack of solid talent
    coming up thru the ranks.
Here’s glass. He listened to Moore and spent
70 million on payroll. Moore brought in high
priced people from arizona (although she’s
hot looking…the leggy woman in charge of fan
services) and other cities to make the team money with the new stadium. Expenses have gone
thru the roof. And moore and hillman put together a rag tag team of guys who have never
won anything. Boston was glad to say goodbye
to crisp. DeJesus needs to wake up. Guillen needs a psychoanalyst (maybe the one that helped
Greinke). Butler should be okay at first but
after 4 or 5 years did the Royals just learn the
guy can’t run and he’s weak defensively?
What’s up with using Buck? This guy can’t hit his weight. Put bulldog Olivo out there behind
the plate and let him crack some jaws.
Bloomquist: he’s got to come thru everyday
and hopefully can hit 290-300..if he does he’s
    gold.
Basically this team needs a bad ass manager to
get these guys up for playing. Hillmans face
looks like a dog with that hair around his mouth.
He puts goldberg to sleep. Did you see LaRussa
in the card dugout. Up walking. Prepping players.
    Talking with guys..plotting strategy…he’s
there to win. Hillman looks like he’s in
a trance and doesn’t know what to do.
We’re only 4 out but something needs to be done
to wake this team up. They still are a rag tag
team and haven’t played much together so as the
season wears on the mistakes should decrease.
Most of the players are in the 4-7 year
experience range. If they haven’t learned fundamental baseball they won’t ever learn it.
There’s no excuse for the stupid mistake these
guys are making. Guillens play on Saturday was
    pathetic at best.
Cheap a$$ Glass put big bucks on the field this
year. He better get his players ready for the
summer. I love the Royals and will be a fan
forever. But its like they’ve tried to put together a puzzle when they knew most of the
pieces weren’t even in the box.
See ya tonight at the K. No matter how frustrated we all get it sure is fun to see
30,000 people at the park for games.

Speaking of Brian McRae, anyone know where to find video of his catch in New York? (Those who saw it will know what I’m talking about… possibly the best catch I’ve ever seen.)
