Take 5: NCAA TV Commercials Part I

The NCAA has lengthened timeouts and TV commercial breaks during the NCAA tourney to allow us extended sit-down bathroom breaks. But the TV commercials invading our home domes the past few weeks have been impossible to avoid. Here is a list of some of my favorites and those I

The funniest ad I’ve seen in a long time was the guitar hero/Metallica ad with the NCAA coaches. When Bobby Knight came out in his underwear with a mic, groovin’ to “old time rock ‘n roll” I laughed out loud. And I couldn’t believe what I was watching!

How did I miss Bobby Knight in his boxers? Too many hits off my Minotaur energy drink.

Best part of the Knight commercial was when Metallica’s James Hetfield barked at Knight, “…means you’re going to have to put on some pants old man!”

Yeah its time we dump time Warner. The movies even on HBO are crap and too often repeated… clearly a ploy to get us all to pay for on demand ala carte.

Cable was better back in the 70s, many more quality movies. And not nearly as expensive.

First thing they should do is make the sports channels PAY channels so we who don’t watch overpaid jocks don’t have to pay their salaries through our basic cable subscriptions.

We’re being screwed. Satellite is looking better and better all the time! I see a lot of dishes in the neghborhood now!

I think you have it wrong in regards to the Buffalo Wild Wings ads. It would have been great to have someone help make most of these games better. I would consider this year’s version a snooze-fest if you didn’t have a team in the game. Even if you had a team to root for most games were defensive struggles rather than exciting offense.(MU vs. MU was the exception)
