radiomankc I’m a very old guy. And I know none of you are as old as dirt like I am. I actually have pictures of my grandma in a Model T along ward parkway before it was, by some Presbyterian church. Nothing around it. In THOSE DAYS, yes, Waldo was probably a ‘burb.
But no one other than CW Gueswelle and maybe Bodine are old enough to remember that.
BTW, Didn’t I hear that the URBAN League was to issue a report on black America this week?
I was wondering if there’s a SUB-urban League around to issue a report on WHITE America? Or would that be racist? Ya know, a report on Roeland Park, Mission (Hills), Lenexa, Merriam, et al? All founded so KC’s well-to-do could escape the KCSD. I’m waiting to see if the JOCO suburbs will extend down to Kechi, (KEY-chigh) what’s currently a northern suburb of Wichita anytime soon? That would be dangerously close to yet another urban school district.
