Forget the Ides of March, KU needs to beware of killer Bs like Thundar
Legendary KU basketball coach Phog Allen grandson John Allen’s take on the Missouri Tiger basketball team winning the Big 12 tournament:
“Oh, who cares? Move on,” Allen says. “I guess it’s a big deal to Missouri, I don’t know anybody else who cares. You know, the real tournament starts now, so we’ll see how everybody does.”
Which brings us to the Kansas Jayhawks who are slated to play lowly North Dakota State...
“The Bisons or something,” Allen says. “You know those ‘b’ teams always give us trouble – remember Bradley and Bucknell? So you know, there is that letter ‘b’ lurking – we’ll have to b-ware, I guess.”
